To me, it was a bit infuriating that Aqua didn’t say anything or do anything to comfort Ruby—they don’t even interact with each other in the episode, not really anyway. But I guess they’re saving that for next season? And thinking about a little more…I guess Aqua comforting Ruby in this episode would water down her descent into darkness. I really hope they do talk about it, and find out about each other, in the next season.

To me it makes sense tho, Ai was 16 when she had Aqua and Ruby, so she could have been as young as 15 when she slept with him. Middle school in Japan goes later than US, so he I bet he was around 14 or 15 himself. On the flip side I would have found it gross if they had her sleep with a grown man as a minor rather than someone near her age.

I think there may be multiple symbolic meanings to it. I always thought that Aqua and Ruby each had one of Ai's eyes because Ai was the perfect idol who had the start quality and they each inherited an innate ability to be a star. For me, I took Ruby having both stars as her "taking" Aqua's darkness for the entertainment industry. Not "taking" as in the star transferring from Aqua to Ruby, but as in Ruby now being able to see the same darker perspective of things that Aqua saw. Also it was cool that the scene where she gets it is almost an exact mirror of Aqua from S1 ep 1.

I think you’re right but I also think the ages they gave were slight odd. I was thinking the university student who killed ai was 17 at the time meaning he would be in middle school (13) at the hospital. I just checked and he was 22 when he killed ai so he was 18 (college) at the hospital. Their father was definitely not in middle school though. He had to have been in high school so maybe that’s an intentional flaw by the crow girl or maybe it’s supposed to be vague. I don’t think a 12 or 13 year old would be getting Ai pregnant. 16 makes sense since it’s the age of consent in Japan but middle school is a bit much…

I think the dad was the middle schooler which is fucking gross unless he's some kind of god or whatever like that girl with the crows but either way, that means there is no way someone could solve this case. Nah, she's Batman but only within the context of logical deductions she can make based on what she's learned in textbooks and from general life experience. There'd be no reason for her to suspect her boyfriend is actually a reincarnated doctor who died in his 30s. The most likely conclusion she could come to with the information she has is that the doctor went missing around the time Aqua was born, and Aqua "learned" of this from Ai before she died, did some digging about the doctor's history and correctly "deduced" that the man who stabbed Ai also killed her doctor. It's plausible enough without throwing the reincarnation stuff into the mix.

Man I missed this show last year when S1 ended and I’m gonna miss it again 😭😭😭. At least S3 is announced! Hopefully next year 🙏. Also they literally announced today that there’s 4 chapters left of the manga. Manga are getting shorter and shorter nowadays but maybe it’s good they’re not overstaying their welcome. We need Kaguya S4 soon though. I read the Kaguya manga but soon OnK will overtake it which would be weird because it started and ended before it haha. One more thing, went the white-haired girl said there was a middle school boy and a college boy talking outside the hospital, the middle school boy was the stalker who killed Ai (Not the college boy). The college boy was Ruby's father (You can tell because he looks exactly like aqua). Remember that Ai was really young (16) when she got pregnant. Lastly, just to clarify both Aqua and Ruby don't know who the other person really is yet. They just know that they were both reincarnated and loved Ai, they never told each other who they were in their past lives. Ruby just thinks that Aqua learned their father was responsible for Ai's death and has been climbing the Japanese entertainment industry in hope of finding and killing him for their mother's death. Edit: I looked some things up about the stalker and one correction is that the "college-age kid" is in fact the stalker. However, I do not think the other person (the father) was middle school age. I think he was high school age so I guess the crow girl was just giving a vague age range or it may be a translation issue.
