2024-11-07 06:52:19 +0000 UTCso wouldn't it be better to kill fali/dragon and like they said the soul is stuck inside so cut off the dragon meat off and then like they usually do use sheep blood and meat to revive her that way the proper way not what marcille did. like the egg metaphor right now they share both bodies and souls but the very laws of this dungeon can allow the plan since even the meat senshi was about to prepare, it went back to the dragon. some part of the dragon soul was in the still dragon meat maybe this way they can separate the cat girl which would be a waste to make her human gain

Changing mushrooms can only turn you into something related to your original species. The gargoyles are animated stones so the spores can only turn them into stone objects. The group were all humanoids so it turned them into humanoid species. Falin is part dragon so it couldn't turn her fully human, only turn her into half human half reptilian species.

He also did the initial undine scene (Marcille fighting the undine), the Falin resurrection scene, and the second Familiar vs. Griffin scene, among many others. He's worked on a lot of the season's most important & higher budget scenes.

2024-10-09 01:21:45 +0000 UTCThis episode adapts up to the end of Chapter 52 in the manga, so if anyone's looking to hop on the source material, you'll want to start with Chapter 53 (though you can also just start from the beginning, there was a fair bit of cut content!). For anyone who's not aware, the manga has a total of 97 chapters, meaning we are more than halfway through at the end of this episode. That also means that we only need one more season to wrap things up—assuming they do two cours again. The second half of the manga is by far the best half, both in terms of story and art. Highly recommend picking it up if anyone finds themselves wanting more Meshi!

The fountains they gather water from have lion heads for spouts, the living armour Laios fights has a lion helmet, the coins have lion heads on them, there are lion statues throughout the dungeon, most prominent in the city level where they fight the dragon, even Laios' sword has a lion head on the hilt decoration. All very subtle worldbuilding for a millennium-old kingdom stuck in time in the dungeon—you likely wouldn't notice most of this without a rewatch, or unless you've read the manga.

So if they're able defeat her and separate her from the dragon before they take on Thistle, that would potentially take care of that problem. But that's just my speculation. I'm interested to see where this story goes.
