MHA 7x19

beautiful episode

Comments

The todoroki family's story is peakkkkk

XHuyen

wdym nomu boost? Dabi has not had any additions onto him. Its literally been stated that shoto and endevor cant do that dabis fire is more powerful than both naturally.

Indifferent Denji

I genuinely can't fathom people who refuse to witness Endeavors whole family drama over something as petty is Deku crying

Shawn Oxley

Waka flaka

Danny

He needed a nomu boost to do that. Im sure shoto or endeavor can also do that if they was nomu.

Sherman Smith

To put Dabi's power into perspective, Hiroshima was destroyed in a 13-kilometer area by the nuke. So Dabi holds around 1/4 the power of a nuclear bomb, and that is not counting the shockwave the explosion will bring.

CentrisAce

Hawks to walks is disrespectful😂

Olpop

I’m hella late but no one remembers all might carrying around this brief case since last season when he was looking after deku?😭

leo

Bro he’s been through enough let him rest 😭😭

Dontsop Keran

youre just making stuff up lol

danni

yes you are the only one endeavor did everything wrong

Tommie

Endeavor planted the seeds of resentment wiithin his own family, dude straight up considered all kids that were not perfect Hot/Cold combinations to be complete and utter failures. The only reason Toya was so obsessed with using his quirk in the first place was to make his dad notice him and finally see him as something more than a failed project

Phroug

Not true. It's stated multiple times that he survived purely on spite. Doctor Garaki, who is the one who turns people into Nomus, was also confused in how he survived. The only thing they did was extend his life slightly.

Imani Brooks

Well for one he never corrected Toya's way of thinking because he could not change his own way of thinking. Had it ever occurred to him that there was value in living a life that wasn't in the hero business or that being a hero not striving to surpass All Might had merit, value and a life worth living? In Toya's case, all he had to do to put out that flame in Toya's heart was tell him that he was terrified of losing his son, but he was too prideful that he was afraid of anything or that he might actually care about something other than surpassing All Might, like his family. If he had been open about it with Toya and Rei, then Toya might've understood a sincere explanation from his father. But instead he chose to suppress his children and go on to the next one to achieve his "dream". IMO he could've raised Toya to be a better hero then he ever was. Toya didn't need to work on firepower output as he had already surpassed his dad at a young age. If instead he had focused on helping him fine tune the control of his fire to such delicate levels that his resistance to heat wouldn't have been a problem. Hell, with support gear and his brother and sisters help he could've been a fire quirk user with such delicate quirk control rivaling the levels of Hawks and Best Jeanist. And there was no reason not to have nurtured Natsu and Fuyumi to be heroes if they wanted to, considering how OP just Ice abilities are. But no, he had already made up his mind to only nurture an ice and fire quirk and nothing else. His family could've gone down as one of the greatest hero families like the Iida family, but no.

CornCobBob

I watched as a kid when it was on Toonami I also have the full Blu-ray box set for DBZ & GT and the box set for all the dragon ball movies I love vegeta’s character development he’s the best written character in dbz but Endeavor’s story is written better and more heartfelt

Giyuu

True bro

Supreme Kermit

tell me you never watched dbz without telling me you never watched dbz

mal

That's a stretch he's a very good character though.

Diggs

Endeavor never properly put out that flame that he set in Toyas mind. He's the reason that Toya was this obsessed with impressing his dad and surpassing All-Might. Endeavor groomed Dabi into thinking a certain way.

Diggs

Am I the only one who thinks endeavor did nothing wrong? He really had no other option but to stop training Toya. Doc said his quirk was hurting him🤷🏾 . Toya disobeyed and continued training in secret, only to end up gone for years. This dude supposedly came back to his house stays mute and ends up wanting to murder everyone?Nah.All I know is if I was in that situation is not playing out like that

Deon

Personally I loved the Todoroki family stuff at first but honestly at this point it's been so long that I just kinda stopped caring about it completely

Phroug

Ryan Torres

What redemption arc for A-Train lmao??

Son Goku

Real af for that

gr2ves

Endeavor is literally a better written version of Vegeta

Giyuu

Hawks turned into walks into flawks

rubiique 1

Just to put into perspective on how fast Ida was going, he traveled 267 miles (Yokohama to Kyoto) in less than 10 min. He traveled twice the speed of sound😂

General Grevious

Like I keep saying, no other anime I can think of has drop kicked me in the heart like this multiple times. Lord.....

BlergMcFlergin

Endeavor and it's not even close.

Fraudkuna

Who's a bigger redemption arc? Endeavor or A-Train?

AutumnOnFire

Love you endeavor, but get your ass up - we still got AFO AND Shiggy💀

Asuri 氷

say it with me now "PEAK MHA SEASON"

Nate

"me too... die..." ts had me leakin real tears like shit lmao bro oh my god

Kurvei

Yes but we know it wasn’t for that case, as the obvious all might using the line right when episode title dropped

Arkan Matlub

This episode was heart Breaking

Norman kay10

“Sorry I didn’t go to Sekoto Peak” yeah that part made me ugly cry. Like, why did it feel like an apology from my late dad 😭

Clinton the Bingethinker

If you like rap and/or metal, I suggest looking up Fabvl and his songs about the Todorokis. He mainly raps from Dabi's perspective, then sings the parts coming from Endeavor and Shoto 😆 There are 3 or 4 songs that make up an arc of their own lol it actually made me appreciate their storyline MUCH more

HIM

Todoroki family story was my favorite part of the series only reason why I kept up with it

Marlen Mendez

Nahhh damn. Like, it’s honestly to the point where I can’t ever take anyone serious who says they genuinely ‘hate’ Endeavor, and Horikoshi by extension. Dude has saved thousands of lives in a storied career with countless near death experiences, acknowledged his mistakes (more than most dads IRL do) and oversights when it came to his personal life, is working nonstop to atone (not redeem himself) for those wrongs, and some Twitter fingers are still saying, “Dabi (the mass murderer with the IQ of a child) did nothing wrong and Enji should burn in hell”. Maaaannn, miss me with that bullshit. Only people (most of them probably still kids, to be fair) who never had *actually* tough upbringings and/or abusive parents are the ones most bent out over a fictional dad trying to be better and change. I swear. Otherwise they’d know just how amazing and truly rare it is for a parent - who is just as flawed as any of us - to want to change so completely and utterly and make amends. That shit, in real life, would be so heartwarming for any of us abused and neglected kids. Late is always, always better than never. Anyway… amazing episode. They genuinely pulled out all the stops and it was beautiful.

Champion Bescos

“I am here” can be used for the entire family being there for dabi in his final moments.

212

Enji, one of the best written characters in anime history. To think there's people out there who refuse take in the Todoroki Family plot as a whole and want Horikoshi to die all because he gave Enji and his family development and a resolution where everyone is trying to heal together. All these irrational and unintelligent Enji haters wanted him to die as a form of "redemption" which is so goddamn ridiculous. Death isn't always the answer to redeem a bad person. Carrying on with their life despite the mess and suffering they caused, taking all the ire and hatred they deserve and moving forward by still doing the right things is how bad people like Enji can be redeemed. He'll never be forgiven but he's giving his whole family the apology they deserve and more. And I'm so glad he's been getting support from Hawks and Best Jeanist along with the family he's hurt. Best damn drama in dried up shounen in my book. I've been rooting for him all the way ever since that High End Nomu fight and man we've come a long way.

Isaac

How can your top 5 BEST WRITTEN ?!?! can be so WRONG ?!

Red Dog

Wooooooow

Red Dog

To Roshi's point of Best written characters... I'd like to add my top 5: 1. Stain: from day 1, best "villain/vigilante" concept I've EVER seen or read. 2. All for one: Dude's a UNIT. He is definitely more of a mix of Thanos, Magneto, AND Darksied. More charisma, too. 3. TODOROKI!: His Dad may be well written, but THIS was an emo kid, a shut in, an introvert... and look at him now. I never vibed with him, TBH, but this has been an amazing turnaround for THE ENTIRE family. Even the mother deserves Big props. 4. BAKUGO: Horikoshi almost did Vegeta better than Toriyama... Almost. 5. Endeavor: While I was TEMPTED to put Aoyama, or Hawks here, I'll admit Endeavor has been a heavy hitter from s2. I actually like him and he became super interesting after s4. Still think he needs a few more steps to reach redemption tho. P.S this story is VERY well written, and it's even MORE impressive considering it didn't rely on shock and awe deaths.

HIM

Sheera, he would have never awakened the ice part of his quirk unless he was on the verge of death

PhaedrusRumple

That was beautiful. The Todoroki family storyline is definitely the highlight of this series.

Eli Kisamo

"ALL I NEED IS YOU... TO FORGIVE ME IN THE END! we don't have to play pretend... THIS TIME, let's DIE TOGETHER!" -Fabvl

HIM

where do y'all get ur shirts fam they are fire

Max maxwell

agreed, I was annoyed on why they titled it for all might and not the Todoroki family conclusion, that was their episode, but hey, they just want to hype up the fight.

Teeny Mite

man ive cried every time ive watched that ending and heard endeavors VA cry like that lmao

mpthree

Man, this episode made me pull Izuku's overflowing tear quirk after seeing the Todoroki family gathering together to stop Dabi/Toya from incinerating the f*ck out of the area they were in. Also, the fact that All Might still had the courage to keep going even though he's currently quirkless, to face off his old foe that is AFO...! Still a freaking hero to the end! I wouldn't be surprised if they're gonna duke it out the next season, like I wouldn't be surprised if this is what'll happen... I wouldn't be surprised if Toya/Dabi was inspired by Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader; with how his body overall got scorched to death, his "Darth Vader-esque" reveal like in the Empire Strikes Back in the previous season (albeit the opposite regarding parent and child), and how his hatred kept him alive long enough even if he was in pain. This overall episode was literally cooking man. The Todoroki's finally managed to reconcile at the end....

WTT_321

They should have called this episode after the chapter with the conclusion of the todoroki family, which they should've called it "Shoto Todoroki: Rising". I wasn't gonna get mad but simmering it made me really angry, "I am here" is a hype moment but the episode should NOT be called that. Dedicating the entire episode title to a 5 second scene is just trash bro

Arkan Matlub

You can watch the OP now. Would love to see yalls reaction to it. Top 5 or top 3 of the show for me.

Chimpman

Best episode of the season! I cried and I already knew what was going to happen! BONES surpassed the manga! 100/10!

Earphone Jack

HORIKOSHI had a mf's eyes sweating during these chapters from All Might coaching Ida and Shoto to Endeavor apologizing to each individual family member...mannnn

Delinda Arts

DAMN this shit had me crying frfr. This was a masterpiece.

DatBoi Lol

they see those in theaters by themselves

danni

AfO is a (around 200yr+) Kaiju with a busted quirk on top. He had the doctor, whatever teams and the leftover tech from his heydays of the dark world that survived All Might's rampage, and all the experience that an ambush predator and serial kidnapper would have for that length of time. Eri is like 7-10 years old.

Kyle

Endeavor was so ready to die with Dabi because he created Dabi was so freaking sad. All the family coming together to stop Dabi is so peak but now the entire family have scars not only inside but outside too.

Rosebentha Servius

DAMN 🥺🥺🥺

Frederick

MY PEAK ACADEMIA

Delinda Arts

Yes, Lupa. Iron Might is going to do something stupid awesome.

Kyle

You can definitely watch the OP now. In my opinion, you probably could have all along, but I understand wanting to be cautious. I hope you'll react to it before the season ends, cause it's a great one. ED is great, too, and just like the OP, they added new frames to it this episode.

Merfhew

They POPPED off with this one 🔥

Tenroku

I feel like for some ppl they took the whole family abuse thing and ran with it which is fair cause endeavor was a shit husband/father. great hero but for all the wrong reasons like Lupa said fire hero is cool but the man himself was hateable

Tremaine

Next weeks intro will be IYKYK- He is a man on a mission In armor of high tech ammunition Trapped on the edge of an endless game His middle aged life will never be the same In a dangerous world he does all he can He's ALL MIGHT ALL MIGHT The heart of his power is within him No force will make him give in When he's backed into a corner of Uncertainty He takes the heat to next degree He's more than a hero believe what you see He's ALL MIGHT ALL MIGHT He's ALL MIGHT ALL MIGHT ALL MIGHT

Tremaine

Yeah that was rough

Kinny Larsoking

PEAK!!! 😭

NovaVortex

How did this arc get hated on? I swear mha is one of the few anime/manga I seen where fans literally hate on it no matter what it does in the story

Asher Ealey

I’m so happy that this arc is getting so much love. The final arc in the manga was getting hated on nonstop when it was weekly

AzureSiegfried

They gotta watch that dub scene, someone gotta tag them on twitter

Lezu

Best episode of the series

JotaroDrake

Will you guys react to the fourth movie on here? can’t find the other three

sin™

Idc bakugo and dekus relationship growth in the story of my hero deserves more respect. Bakugo is still technically dead and it’s been 8 episodes btw…. Loved this episode this is like the 3rd time this season made me tear up

Sheraya san

6:39 she could only rewind the same amout of time her horn took to grow. All mights age and time he was in prime surpasses the time elapsed when she restored Mirio's quirk and even birth. Yet, that damn Eri bullet is reversing All for Ones age by alot so idk. Maybe all might got to eat some hair, so he can at least stop coughing blood.

Lezu

Shoto is such a good fuckin kid man, bearing such a heavy burden his entire life despite being the baby … And god toya’s story is truly tragic

Emily A

This shit had me sobbing man

Emily A

Endeavor has one of the best character arcs of anime. And this was him redeeming everything he's ever done.

Davon Thomas

iida the mvp of the episode though!! without him, shoto would not have stopped that explosion bro. shoutout yutaka nakamura for animating the sequence of iida taking off, that shit was so fire 😭😭

melloburner

Did you guys know that Hawks is a total rizzcake

JohnnySmoke

Can’t lie they got me this episode a tear was shed

Tremaine

I almost cried I’m not gonna lie

Bobby Robinson

I am once again asking you guys to react to chinese time loop thriller drama reset (2022), it's on YouTube for free. You guys like link click, we'll it's kind of like that plus it's ultra peak.

Rosebentha Servius

It's truly one of my favorite storylines. With that said, if I were in that world, I would still take Toya out; I'm sorry. He is too much of a risk even after all that he is alive. I take no chances. He also got both quirks at the end, nope.

Uly A O

All Mights time is NEAR !!!

Boogie's Games

I've been waiting for the next episode so get animated

Kisuke01

Best MHA episode in literal seasons its crazy

JayzWrld

He’s ready for that crash out.

Coatl45

I think Dabi’s “Everyone’s watching me, if it was this simple” introspective is the saddest part of the whole plot point cuz it’s really showing a kid who grew into a broken man & basically lose his life & all he ever wanted was his dad’s love & attention

Terrell Oluwafemi

Endeavor is by far the best written character in the series imo, like it's not even close. And the Todoroki family story is also by far the best storyline in the series too imo.

Shockzz1234

I especially love that Endeavor's character arc is about atonement, not redemption. Redemption is receiving forgiveness and a place back into the space that was yours. Atonement is willingly acknowledging your wrongs, taking accountability, and accepting the outcome, even if it's losing your space. You don't ask for forgiveness; you can only make right what you did wrong in the best way possible. I don't see very cool atonement arcs for many characters.

botanbutton

This episode is a perfect example of how the fires of ego can destroy everything you hold dear.

Ren Lichtfoot

Great reaction as always! I wanted to add to the sadness and say that Dabi did go back home after being in comma for 3 (?) years only to see that nothing had change and everyone move on ( he saw his dad "training" Shoto ) and that was his last moment as "Toya". He truly was a tragic character and him realizing that if only he could reach out sooner or something along those lines he would not be alone. Also when Shoto punched Dabi and we see him as a kid a lot of people point out that Dabi never really saw Shoto's scar that's why little shoto doesn't have one. The Todoroki family truly is the best thing that came out of the show. I got so emotional just like Sheera

Maddie

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hasnain Khan

Awesome reactions yall! One thing you guys didn’t touch on (understandably so, there was a lot going on) was the music. 2 new (I think) ost made the endeavour and dabi dancing scene and Shoto’s “Rising” scene SO much more epic and tragic. If I ever hear someone say “mha is shit and fell off”, ima point them to this episode.

Danny C

The whole family is written so well the best part of this show and made this arc good

ZO

Eri has literally been in the series for years and has never been used to undo every horrible thing that happens. Hori has never even implied that she would be but manga and anime fans keep letting other series influence their view of MHA because virtually ever other popular Shonen series from DBZ to Naruto had to BS mass revival shit happen. People don’t even realize that Hori already subverted the expectation of Eri’s quirk by letting AFO be the one to use it and not the heroes. Honestly, I’m pretty sure Nighteye would still be alive if Hori wanted to use Eri like that.

Jordan Smith

Nahh I was dying 😂

Danny C

Endeavor saying he wont let Toya be alone anymore, wishing to join him in death broke my heart 😭 The pain of a father to know that his son died because he neglected him, then to find out that his son is alive as a major villain who has forsaken everything to hatred, and then to watch him die again infront of your eyes still seeking your approval‐-- Everything as a whole was captured perfectly by the VA and the animators in that single scene.

Manchester United

This episode actually got me in my feelings this shit was sad 😭

Kingmakaii

Nah when the episode ended I was looking like Deku crying about All Might as a kid lmaoo, ep was too beautiful

Sham3ful

Night eye to All Might: “Continue down this path, what awaits you is an UNSPEAKABLY GRUESOME DEATH!!”

Guns

As soon as Dabi activated his ice quirk I legit became an emotional wreck for the entire episode

Minaruto

One of the best episodes in the entire series, and absolutely the best plotline in the entire show

Beagle

HEY YO THAT HAWKS TO WALKS GUY IS ALSO ON ANOTHER REACT CHANNEL HOLY CRAP HAHAHA

Ragnar Pendon

Y'all can watch the op next week btw (unless y'all wanna be extra safe then just watch it on the last ep)

joe

Endeavour easily the best written character in MHA it ain’t even a debate

Fizzy

Endeavor bakugo best characters for me

Mob K.O.

First Vegeta now Endeavor two of the best redemption stories ever

Senjioh

Plz stop think eri is just gonna fix everything and everyone cuz she cant

Lildreezy

Y'all so quick to assume animation error or something is wrong when y'all forgot about llidas engine upgrade. It's a long series, I don't blame you, but my boy roshi went straight to "they fuckin somethin up" xD

Ginger Dwarf

Nah imma trust Hori. I have a feeling he wrote it so that she's not some magical reset button.

mitch anderson

This episode makes my eyes rain 🌧

LiquidXGravity

Do you want an a very vague answer to that since the manga is over?

Nickevans21

I love the quirk representation of the toxicity of the Todoroki family. Toya felt unseen and useless, so he had to burn hotter and brighter to just be noticed by his family. And in the end. He reached his goal of being able to use ice… by pretty much sacrificing his life.

Guns

Hawks into walks got me cryin

Cheesecake

It isn't very clear because it's such an understated detail but Dabi's right arm burned away just like Endeavor's after he threw that fire punch.

Sudds

Bro i dont give a FUCK about the Todorokis rn. GO BACK to All Might!

Godrick

Eri has a chance to become an annoying plothole and I really hope that she doesn't because I like the character but I don't like ppl having it in the back of their minds that she can just fix everything. I feel like it takes away from the sense of dread that we're supposed to feel. I hope Hori figured out what to do with her during this war.

mitch anderson

Truly one of those core theme MHA episodes, they did such a great adaptation

Amir Shipp

Best episode this season so far

bleach

The Todoroki family really is a top tier side story, everything from the introduction, the build up, and the climax was well written.

Devin B

They brought in the A-Team to animate this shit 🤌🏿

Amir Shipp

Been waiting for this reaction all day 😮‍💨

Danny C

BEST EPISODEEEEEE

mitch anderson

Bro whoever this new director is needs to be put in charge of the final season. Cuz this shit is peak.🔥

‘ ‘ TRAPPIN IN JAPAN ‘ ‘

PEAK!!! IS HERE

V STAN

Best episode of the season thus far. The Todoroki family story arc is by far the best aspect of the series. You can tell Horikoshi loves Endeavor the most just by how well developed his arc was to the point where Endeavor and his family as side characters got way more development than Deku who’s the main character

Nick Vaughn

Stain acknowledging Iida is a great full circle moment. This episode was full of those. All Might and being a Quirkless hero, and Endeavor and his whole family. Heck, even Death Arms and his body moving in its own.

BZD

time to cry again

Renni .
