Don't get me wrong, they're amazing and The Batman is really freaking good too, but they're all missing the uncanny valley, almost mythic stuff that Batman is also known for. Hell, as much as I liked this first episode of The Penguin, it feels like you could replace the characters with The Sopranos' and it wouldn't change much, if anything at all. Can't wait 'til someone else takes us back to weird, wacky Batman.

There have also been some theories that Victor Aguilar could be Victor Fries aka Mr. Freeze, but personally, I think it could be the serial killer Victor Zsasz, the guy with a bunch of tally mark carved into his skin from Batman Arkham and Batman TellTale games. The reason is the way Vic talks about whether to cut the front throat or cut through the back neck exposing a piece of the spine, which seems very odd for a stuttering teenager to talk about a bit calmly. Overall, I could be wrong, and that he's a new original character created for the show.

I think it’s too early for that but damn I was already gonna watch it since in a huge comics fan and loved The Batman but now I’m LOCKED IN FOR THE RIDE. Also yes you're right, they said that this is going to directly lead into The Batman Part 2 which will take place in Winter. My theory is that the new drug shipment coming in is venom.

This first episode was so peak and Colin Farrell deserves 15 Emmys for this role. People don't understand how crazy his acting and transformation for this role was.
