Only Kaguya-sama had been enough of a commercial success to get a second season. The continued success of Kaguya-sama S2 and the unexpected success of MDUD probably are the reasons Missing Pieces was even greenlit and Dangers got greenlit for 2 seasons.

I realize that they didn't expect the anime adaptation to be so successful (which is kind of odd, considering how popular the manga was), but that doesn't explain why they skipped around instead of adapting the chapters in order. Even if a S2 wasn't guaranteed, that didn't mean a S2 was impossible. Talk about self-inflicted wounds.

Plz after EP 12 of Horimiya go to S2 (EPs1-12) instead of watching EP 13. Ep 13 adapts the legitimate end of the manga, where as S2 takes place for the most part between EPs 11-13, minus the epilogue which is S2 Ep13. That's why it's called the "Horimiya: The Missing Pieces". A lot of other commenters now and I, feel it would be better for reaction content if the ending isn't shown before the second season, as it was only made that way due to uncertainty of continuation for a 2nd cour😅🥲

In the past (before even watching this show) I looked a bit into how colors are tied to emotions, and when depicting each scene where it gets used makes it even more interesting to see what emotion is being either put on display or internalized at that given moment. Random thing to point out (besides the fact that I actually didn't see this episode's ending scene before, very funny)

I also like the show-dont-tell approach. We don't need a sappy inner monolog from Hori. It's clear from the tears and relieved expression that she realized she's for real in love because it hurt when he was gone. And I LOVE Toru!

Also yes they did fuck, it's very heavily implied based of what Hori said but it's confirmed by the after credits scene, since as you saw **neither of them had their shirts on** (also no bra straps on hori as well) but also the marking in general is another clear sign Edit: omg a comment made me relook something, I thought it was only ep 9 that it happens, but nope ep 8 is the start. Wtf Hori!!! And yes it's her who need to answer 😅

But watching him interact with Yuki and seeing their friendship and chemistry and how they both can tell when each other is hiding their worries and cheer them up made me just want them to be together.

It's more clear in the manga, but in the manga that scene with him at the end was caused by him seeing a used condom so he was definitely aware of what his older sister and her bf are doing in her bedroom
