This was a nice cap to the season. I sort of fell off of it a bit in the middle but the latter half was nice. I agree with what both roshi and sheera said about the voting but I think I agree more with roshi. I also like Yuki more as a character and she carried the show a bit for me ngl. Looking forward to seeing more of Kuze and Yuki's backstory in S2 with his mom though. It was nice and at least this time the tsundere girl wasn't just a straight up bitch.

2024-09-22 23:09:54 +0000 UTCI think objectively speaking, Yuki did a better speech than Alya. But In the end I think Kuze did the best speech of all. By introducing Sayaka and Nonoa as part of their student council, they gave them a story that the masses would eat, namely from rivals to friends. Another thing is Nonoa being there they would be able to secure a ton of votes because in the end elections are just popularity contests after all with her being the popular girl and all.

2024-09-22 21:03:32 +0000 UTCPersonally I would also pick yuki from the introduction, idk her track record from middle school or what she did but her speech was very straight forward and knows what she wants, Alya seemed like someone I would keep my eyes on specially because of her partner masachika he seemed very certain on his ideals and a very good right hand so I could see potential if he continues to push her forward

Alya just got there and it's already been established that she's just a loner international student who gets good grades. Her biggest issue was validity within the year, any promise she gives is going to sound either underwhelming or unrealistic, so the best angle was to gain respect which i think this approach achieved.

Giving plans and policies doesn’t do anything for Alya right now since the students barely know her and didn’t truly consider her a candidate against Yuki. So simply getting Alya into the students’ minds as a hardworking honest person is the right move. Basically just laying the foundation for her campaign since there’s plenty of time before the election. So Yuki’s speech does have more substance, but that’s because she can skip the groundwork and move straight into plans and promises since everyone already knows her well.

Alya may have had a more heartfelt speech, but she just talked about herself instead of acknowledging the students she's supposed to serve when elected. Yuki acknowledged the students by letting them know their ideas (within reason which she used examples to convey) for improving the school will be considered seriously and implemented. Of course there's a lot of time before the election, but Yuki seems to be the logical choice at the moment.

Alya's speech was more heartfelt but that doesn't change the fact that she hasn't proved herself yet. Yuki would've made more of an impact if she had a better vice president candidate but Ayano is just there to be there.

Honestly I would be thinking why isn't Kuze running for president because he said the one with the most charisma should be president and he showed how much he had on stage.
