This is one of the main reason why I hate "gossiping" and I hate how normalized it is and how people make it out to be a "silly trait", like these things happen in real life all the time, even if u thought it was a silly or trivial gossips, rumors grow and someone might and most likely will get hurt severally and when it happens a lot of the blame is on you too just because u wanted to be "silly" and entertained.... and the worst thing everybody seen it too many time especially on the media (where u can do a simple research by a simple click btw) and no one ever learns they just go "I didn't know I just saw someone say it π₯Ί" and do the same shit without researching it again..... like that one time mfs were going wild at an Indian actor playing Rapunzel to the point some started harassing her calling her racist names, when in fact there is no live-action Rapunzel in production at all and it was just a fan cast on tik tok... and no there is no excuse here, simple research would let u know it isn't true, the moment u contributed in any way to the rumor u are one of the cause for her receiving racism and harm (even if u urself didn't say something racist)

The wife had encouraged the neighbor to leave by shaking her head when he considered getting involved, but the kids saw the encounter as an opportunity to be saved literally walking away. He called the cops, which was an appropriate decision, but to the kids who were facing abuse, especially for Li Tianxi who already held a grudge, they probably felt disheartened when the guy who arrived (giving them hope for intervention) seemingly left them to their fates.

2024-08-01 21:36:07 +0000 UTCSomething I want to answer with already known info that's questioned on in the end is if Cheng can change things that happen when in Lu's body, but based on what's shown last episode, he can't. He and Qiao are shown in real time (as in when Cheng was in his own body) to realize that the "Lu" they saw then was him in Lu's body before he even knew he was gonna jump into him. Ergo what happens at any point in time is the already played out version after they involved themselves. This is shown before implicitly but not outright till now. I know there are some who know more and want to say something so spoiler for down below for my response to them. For those who know the ending: The only people to know that happened so far are the person who jumped and the person who got the deathbed vision. It's not like here where a node wasn't touched and everything played out like shown over the past 2 episodes

2024-08-01 06:44:50 +0000 UTCYes it was the neighbor fault spreading rumors which cause a lot of events to happen love how they peel the layers back slowly so either the audience can theorize or come up with there own conclusions to the story. Also the lawyer who was the detective all I gotta say itβs way deeper then that and the twist that comes to gonna make you mad to me he always been a piece of shit but oh well great episode and the wild card isnβt gonna be revealed yet on who that person is weβll sort of hinted at in season 1 but you see enjoyed you guys reaction.

That song, Flash by Gorilla Attack, was also utilized very well. That song was also great back in episode 2 when Xiaoshi and Ling were boxing with Ma in the hallway and they timed the beats with the strikes.

Reminds me of the book Animal Farm where they use anthropomorphic animals to tell the real life history of Stalin, Trotsky, and Russia. The furry animals clarified a lot of episode 5 from Tianxi's perspective

2024-08-01 03:10:23 +0000 UTCRegarding how Cheng is running in Lu's condition, remember that when possessing someone it isn't exactly controlling that person's current state but giving the attributes of Cheng onto Lu's body. Like how before the brother controlled the paralyzed blond guy from way back or how Cheng controlled that kidnapped kid and could perform a strong jumping uppercut.

2024-07-31 23:16:29 +0000 UTCThis is by far the best episode of the season, the way they structured this episode with 3 acts just like the theatre play of Qian Jin's wife, the last few episodes are wild, that fairytale segment was brilliant, the writers cooked in this episode. I also love that "beast and hunter" lesson from the mystery kid tying into the twins' backstory.

2024-07-31 23:11:56 +0000 UTC@26:15 -- Yeah, it definitely adds more context to the earlier scenes when Li Tianchen was angry at the neighbor, seemingly out of nowhere. We thought the neighbor was a nice guy because he won the crane machine game for Li Tianxi, had a nice chat with the family as they walked home, and (for a brief moment) stopped the domestic violence. The show wanted us to think that Li Tianchen was just being an overprotective brother who didn't want a stranger touching his sister, but in reality, the hatred was so much deeper than we realized. And, frankly, I think the neighbor caused Li Tianchen to lose faith in humanity, especially when the neighbor gave him and his sister false hope that the domestic abuse could be stopped now that a third party was involved. But nope, he just reaffirmed Li Tianchen's hatred.

I could be wrong, though! I mainly think that because we specifically see him having those suspicions way ahead of time, and the twinsβ fairytale is also ultimately based off of false gossipβ¦
