I haven't seen this episode yet, but Champion Bescos is right. Like it is going to suck if the Good Guys and Bad guys were already decided since the beginning of the show.. and all this kinda sub-par politics.. is just like a weird history lesson with some Dragons to make it more interesting...? if we already know who is good and bad since the beginning... Like wut?? (Especially cause the Show does go the EXTRA MILE to act like the "Main Good" is fkn Rhaenyra, but they do still give many bits of reasons (Mainly in Season 1) which made me disagree with who the Show says the "Good" is even supposed to be, lol.) I really thought that things would be complex and sophisticated.. you know early seasons Game of Thrones style.. where characters were shown as super complex, and NOT seemingly Black and White of who is BAD and who is Good.. like there are SO many characters in this show too, but dam I pretty much only like 1.. It just seems so awful how they have gone so far as to make it hard for viewers to even understand when Rhaenyra might have done something "bad" or some faults with some decisions.. but then they go the complete opposite direction with the Green Characters where they make the Greens SEEM like they are WAY worse than they actually are, or even provide information in such a bad way, where they make the Greens seem like they did something or caused something "Bad" to happen when they didn't.. (or at least not as bad as what a lot of the viewers would think. The show just presenting info in such a terrible way). It seems really weird for them to not even provide the fkn information with clarity.. the show itself being biased as fk. You'd think this show was a News Channel, where the news channels (based on left-leaning or right-leaning news channel) will twist literal facts and info to paint one side as the positive (Rhaenyra Here), and The Greens always presented in a negative way, literally IN THIS SHOW they be twisting the actual info or the show just quickly drops a sentence in passing which gets overlooked.. since the overall "theme" is that Greens are "Bad".. I guess... The SHOW itself seemingly intentionally being biased like this instead of just providing the fkn facts for both sides.. Like I don't even know.. Did they try to "re-create" the Game of Thrones complexity but in House of The Dragon they thought it would be "Complex" if the show just did a terrible job at providing clear information, which is making a LOT of viewers come to wrong conclusions... or maybe because the SHOW wants people to be lost.. because the actual Message is as simple as "Rhaenyra Good.. and everyone else is bad".. except they do provide tiny bits of "negative" info about Rhaenyra here and there, where most people don't even catch it.. and those negative bits of info (which DO add up over time) about Rhaenyra goes against the narrative of the SHOW that has consistently tried to GLOSS over whenever Rhaenyra does something that could be seen as "Bad," but at the same time THE SHOW ALSO makes sure the info is confusing to make a lot of the viewers just blame the Greens by default, whenever something bad happens. AND BTW I did kinda give up on episode 2x6 and searched up what happens to Aemond by the end (My.. current favorite) and.. yea idk.. I think it is prolly gonna be even worse than in the book, so I have no faith atm, lol.

I don't know much about Nettles because I haven't read the books, but I kinda get why they chose to merge the two characters cuz they already have Rhaena in the show and from what I hear her storyline isn't too major in the book so since they already have this character it makes sense to merge her with another character instead of introducing a whole new character to the series. Then again I don't fully know the storylines in the books so forgive me if I got something wrong (I do get the frustration of losing the opportunity to get another black female character though)

It's still a big L for Jace because, as rhaenyra said, they really don't have a choice. Vhagar needs to be jumped by two, maybe 3 dragons to really have a chance at getting killed. Daemon and his dragon aren't really following commands, and rhaenyra can't fly out. That means Beala and Jace. Jace dragon is a snack to vhagar. At the moment if aemond decided to he could effectively end this was by taking vhagar and crashing out. This plan is their only defense against that. This was by far my favourite episode in the whole season. Rhaenyra coming out like a thug at the end with dragons behind her was so epic. I really hope Rhaena does get the wild dragon that would be so cool. So far on the black side we have, Syrax (Rhaenyra's), Vermax (Jace's), Vermithor (Hugh's), Silverwing (Ulf's), Seasmoke (Adam's), Moondancer (Baela's) and Caraxes (Daemon's) (hopefully soon Rhaena will have a dragon too); That's 7 confirmed dragons on team black, while team green has 3 confirmed dragon's (Aemond's, Daeron's and Helaena's), obviously other factors than numbers are important, like amount of experience being a dragon rider, but I'm really hype for what the rest of the season might entail now that there are so many more factors at play.

I also think its worth mentioning that summoning people with Valyrian/Targaryen ancestry to Dragonstone was Jace’s idea in the previous episode. Now that’s come to bite him in the butt because the dragon riders his mom needs to win her claim to the throne are bastards just like him. So now we’re primed for yet another succession crisis after she dies because now people know Targaryen bastards can also potentially claim a dragon for themselves, not just the highborn. It probably should have been something on their minds but Rhaenyra is only thinking of the immediate threat which is fighting the war and reclaiming her throne.

Sure, but I think it's funny how the show is making people advocate for incest so hard. I've seen people saying that Rhaenyra should have hooked up with one of the many dragonseeds (her brothers and uncles and cousins) with white hair so she could have convincing velaryon/targaryen babies. And there was never any doubt that Jace is a targaryen since he was carried by a targaryen birth mother, the issue with his claim is that he's an illegitimate child and obviously so.
