2024-07-28 09:32:14 +0000 UTCi haven't read the manga or light novel but i hope that's incorrect because that would be the worst twist ever.......like why would alya lie to her sister about her feelings for kuze and where it stemmed from, what about that half an episode flashback in episode 3 emphasizing why alya gives a shit about kuze at all mostly involving a school festival and also part of her childhood..... a childhood that didn't involve him, and instead about some average students not putting in the effort she wanted them to. if they're going with that level of misdirection and asspull that scenario as part of the plot, thats genuinely just bad writing........alya also genuinely believes he doesn't know wtf she's saying when speaking in russian based off her internal monologue after using russian to speak to him.......and he met his childhood friends sister in a random highschool many years later, and she remembered him on borderline sight alone and instantly..... but alya, his childhood friend who he met her though at best..... doesn't recognize him?!??!?! the one he learned russian to hang out with?!?!?.....even though its almost definitely masha as his childhood friend, even that's an asspull but masha being his childhood russian friend would still be way less trash than that alternative

The only thing different is the blonde hair and blue eyes but that could be that because he can't really remember what she looks like his brain made her look like a stereotypical foreigner in japan(it's a stereotypical thing for japanese people that foreigners have blonde hair blue eyes)

The flashback sence is from Kuze's dream and in the dream the girl has blonde hair and blue eyes but after he awake Kuze did mention that he can't remeber the girl's appearance and her name . So the girls in the flashback (dream) may look different from the actual girl Kuze played with.

Clearly the blonde girl in Kuze's memories is not Masha, I just noticed this episode that their eye colour is different, the blonde girl has blue eyes, Masha has brown/hazel, so my original theory was that the blonde girl IS Alya as they both have blue eyes, Alya has been using Russian not just to hide her feelings but to test Kuze is he remembers her, that kiss on the cheek triggered something in Kuze's memory but so did when Masha pat his head last episode, IDK I'm super confused and I need answers!!!!

And with foreigners in anime having typically blonde hair and blue eyes, that's probably what he thinks she looked like back then. And I understand why yall think that cuz it got me too. But like we gotta talk about how alya is so unaware that her own sister is the main boss and not yuki. She doesn't know yuki and Kuze are siblings so she automatically rules out her own sister (because as far she knows, Masha likes somebody else: sa-kun. Who's actually kuze) So when she told him "I love you" she thought he was thinking of yuki. And when Masha told her to basically hurry up or "someone might take him away", she'll think it's yuki when it's actually masha.

The hair and eye color is a misdirect, sure - chalk it up to faulty childhood memory or her hair/eye color changing (it does happen to kids). Masha's reaction and interactions in E03 make zero sense if it's not her. Plus the locket with the blurred face and Masha suggesting that she's still in love with "sa-kun" and her hinting in this episode that she'll go after Masachika if Alya doesn't. It's all a stupid waste of time if it's not her in the memory.

Recall the flashback of Kuze looking offstage at the glasses girl weeping. Given what we’ve been shown of Yuki’s personality, I’m thinking she roped him into some political dirty tricks which hurt the glasses girl. An unspoken reason he felt ‘unworthy’ .

I think it's still obvious the little girl is Alya's sister cuz of the locket thing

That's a very nice catch and interesting theory though Roshi. I think it's probably Masha who was the childhood Russian friend, but MAYBE they're gonna do a massive misdirect and it'll be Alya. However, I'd find it really weird why Alya wouldn't remember him after reuniting for over a year. Also if it was Alya then there would have to be ANOTHER reason why Masha recognized Kuze when they met and the double misdirect would get kinda sloppy imo. Side note: I swear just uses cheeks to manipulate people every time lmao. That's the second time he used girl students into getting the guys to do what he wanted.

2024-07-26 16:48:43 +0000 UTCRegarding hair color. They are playing a lot with Alya's hair and it's reflectivity. Notice that pinkish streak at the level where her ribbon is. It comes and goes depending on the lighting she's portrayed in, most noticeably in those night scenes this episode where it is totally gone. The flashback scene is set in what photographers call "golden hour" the clouds are lit golden so it's reasonable to assume her silver hair would appear more blonde under that light. All to keep the issue undecided.

When Alya taked about kuze, she only called him kuze, not his first name her older sister only knows him by. That's why she didn't know him at first

Truck-kun sent the President to another world where he spent 4 years slaying demons and monsters until he defeated the Demon Lord. As a reward, they sent him back to the side of the road at the same moment he was isekai-ed. Explains a bit about his character design.
