2024-10-29 17:11:46 +0000 UTCComparing BC's themes here. Will isn't competing with a duotagonist(there is shion but he isn't yuno or sasuke for example). Will can't use magic(anti magic is arguably a type of magic manipulation, just one that opposes natural magic but still isn't regarded as "magic" in the show). Will doesn't want to become the pinnacle of his world/kingdom(the mage king) but wishes to sit along side a person that IS on that level, they are different characters with similar situations in both being underdogs/looked down on but still striving to do what they can to get to their goal. Having an underdog MC, gives you some free world building though them allowing you to display the parts of life at the lowest to the highest(naruto was a outcast and you got to see him as hokage, and through him you saw all points of life in the village). Honestly, that's about all we got so far from what we have seen, so im surprised that someone who liked BC didn't like this. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by better, but my guess would be maybe you tend to enjoy the western style more because BC takes a bit more inspiration from tolkien, than wistoria has shown(im anime only for wistoria so far). But their themes are VERY similar, and to be fair, standard shonen but standard doesn't mean bad. Just a base to evolve from.

I read the manga for the all three and yeah the level of things is different. Also it closer to manga and anime where the mc is born into a family that the opposite of what he can do. Think shield hero. Fun fact for you to consider why have a legendary sword that can cut magic in a location where everyone only is able to use wands.

After that, saying she doesn't remember all of Black Clover, but considering she even said that I think we can assume they've already seen at least some of Black Clover on their own time and will probably continue to watch it on their own time like Stranger Things. Plus, Roshi has already said he won't watch 100+ episode shows in reactions unless he's already started them or he's doing a single reaction (meaning just him and no Sheera or Lupa, like he did once with Hunter x Hunter), so Black Clover just seemingly won't ever happen. No use whining about it.

Just seems like an unnecessary design choice to me that doesn't add anything to thier look. On the other hand, that single dread hanging with the rest pulled back thing he did in the last video *did* go kinda hard.

Wistoria makes up for the lack of intriguing characters and a basic plot with stellar animation and choreography, danmachi doesn't. Danmachi also relies way more on played out tropes. I heard it gets better in season 4, but everything else before is generic 2010s LN crap so it isn't worth the time to get there rlly. Bland mc, giga tropey characters, generic game-like level system where mc gets a busted skill that no one else has, the bland mc's reject harem of girls that like him that he doesn't like back. And even if season 4 fixes all of those issues, 3 seasons of exactly those issues doesn't make it worth it tbh. Just my opinion tho

It's on the longer side (like watching Attack on titan from the beginning) but you should check it first and make a decision to commit or not afterwards. There is also a whole filler arc of like 10-15 ep you can skip so that helps.
