I just finish rewatching their reaction to the first season in 2020 So is it me or does it feel like either…. 1. They not giving off the same energy cause sheera was less suspicious of everything back thing and Roshi was more talkative back then and less serious. 2. @Ren Ya, I get that, and the slow downtime would likely just feel even slower in animated form where you cant read and take things at your own pace,,but still feels like somewhat of a loss because I think even the small moments often contribute a lot in overall connection, and it may affect how well some future events hit,,hopefully that's just readers bias though and things can still feel just as impactful!

This is exactly what happened in the webtoon. In the webtoon, they literally skipped to this part (Bam, 6 years later and in this exact situation). They obviously can't / don't need to put every single interpersonal scene into the anime. Tower Of God actually takes upwards of 1 "real life" month to read if you were to read nonstop. The chapters are bigger than normal "manga" chapters, and there are, at this point, over 590 chapters. For context, TOG chapters are much larger. Taking OP for example, they have over 1100 chapters. Considering that each "chapter" of TOG is roughly 3x the size of normal manga chapters (at least), then TOD has closer to 1700 "chapters". The first 3 episodes of season 2 are roughly 5 -7 chapters. In this case, the only thing they are really cutting out is the stuff no one cared about, namely the blond guy's interpersonal relationships with the other characters. I'm actually not sure why everyone has an issue with that, as I found it extremely boring to read. I was far more interested in understanding what Bam went through. Anyway, condensing it makes the most sense, you could also say it's impossible to do it any other way.

Okay thats just tremendous cope tough, it's not looking very good right now and animation wont pop off out of nowhere there needs to be a certain level of consistency too. Sure its not terrible but its still pretty iffy and I think its more of a directing issue than the animation staff themselves. Smth probably went wrong, cramped schedule or whatever and well we can see and feel it really hard but idk as long as they dont completely butcher it it any further it will be alright and its watchable. We just need to hope that the next season will be better. Its a pretty long manhwa so there is still time to fix it. Even an anime like Kingdom who has disgusting first 2 seasons managed to pull itself together and live up to the manga and be a genuine 10/10 show. We just gotta accept it rn.

Agreed with this to an extent, but it’s likely they’re saving up the bugdet for the 4 big fights (UM, HoA, WSB finals 1&2). I get the shots and animation aren’t the best, but it’s likely they put the remaining budget into the astonishingly cool battles coming up. However in regard to the style changing, it’s meant to look off compared to a normal anime, as the s2 animation was styled after the fan animations on fansites over the past few years (is what I heard, despite the change in the web novel art as well)

I don't know if yall remember it at this point but the freezing technique baam uses he actually learned in the first season from the red haired ranker when was trying to save rachel from hoh. Then he turned around and used it on the ranker himself to help Endorsi defeat him. Its one of his main techniques now, and Sheera was right it uses your own Shinsoo against you.

I can feel that, but in a way those changes are demanded by the audience. The reality is, there are far too many people who don't have the attention span to watch anything unless something is flashing or blowing up. They call it "mid" or downrate your series simply because they can't appreciate those same qualities you mentioned. The original TOG manwha is massive. Like I literally read for nearly 3 weeks straight and still didn't complete it. So they are indeed cutting out a lot of those images as you mentioned. It can only be to appeal to the segment of the audience that has smaller attention spans.

While I respect your opinion, you also have to realize that it costs around 100,000$ on average for just one anime episode to be created if there are a lot of frames. This affects action shows the most. So, that "change" in visuals that you're talking about are cost saving measures which are necessary for studios working under a budget. It's being done so that later on action scenes can be done properly. Folks inclined to complain also do so if CGI is used (even though it's less expensive and easier for artists to work with). There's no "perfect" solution - especially for something people generally consume for free. People who create this stuff generally only make 1300$ a month on average and often work 50-70 hour work weeks. Sometimes context is necessary for people to understand why they should just be grateful - is what I mean.

I guess its kind of a given since slower moments tend to be easier to get through in read form often times, but I think its such a shame that it feels like so many little moments are cut already,,like there's no time to just sit with things more, so I feel like the relationships and connections aren't as well developed and such as they'd just started to feel by this time in the manhwa,,granted they still weren't far into things yet ofc, but idk, maybe just cuz I'd read it and remember things diff, the pacing feels a lil strange now that they've had to adapt things to fit more in Still so happy its finally gotten its second season and cant wait to see more though

Now would be a good time to mention a minor thing they skipped over in the anime: Bam's ability to freeze them is called "Reversed Flow Control" and it freezes the shinsu in the persons body. It's actually also in season 1, during the hide and seek arc, where Quant freezes bam and Bam freezes Ho(Albeit with much better animation than this season.)

It’s a shame they skipped the bath tub scene at the end of last episode. It had a bit of characterization for Bam and Arkraptor which was neat. As for this episode, Bam uses the same reverse flow control technique he learned and used in season 1 Edit for context: Bam went up to Rob Devil in the bath and asked if he really did beat Hatz( the sword guy from the first season). In the WEBTOON it left a little more reason for Prince to think Bam went after him because he didn’t seem happy about it
