Butcher literally came in and made everything so much worse! Like her or not, Neuman was way more useful alive. Killing her literally only benefited Homelander. I do hope Ryan comes into Gen V season 2 because I feel like he could have more of a connection with those characters as he didn't seem to go back to Homelander immediately; I could have missed that in this episode, whether he did or not. I feel like Marie/Emma could connect to the conflict in Ryan. I definitely feel similar to Roshi in that he needs to make up his mind but understand that he ONLY has one paternal figure in this world, and he is still young. If not, I hope for his sake they make it quick for Ryan. Butcher, if he turns into an enemy for everyone, I hope he gets taken out in an all-out battle. I understand wanting to take out Neuman, but they would have had a better path with her. Unfortunately, he has let the monster take over. I just hope he keeps that energy like you aren't going to apologize and come back to everyone's good graces. If he lives, he should probably be taken even if he does survive in the end. Also, Sage is turning into one of my favorite all-time TV villains. She is treating this all like a game. In my opinion, she's the most dangerous person in this universe.

I swear people keep forgetting Neuman's character and how she's literally one of the actual GOOD people in this show. Her motivations have honestly been mostly about her family, specifically her daughter. Yes, she's done some very fucked up things and some hardcore backstabbing, but it's like you people don't realize she's playing THE GAME. She's not a normal person and I don't mean her being a supe, she's in the political world trying to do good things and she can't make it to the top to bring good policies to America unless she does the dirty play like all the other politicians do. Edgar groomed and raised her to play this unfair game of life, he taught her how to play on ALL SIDES to get where she wants to be to get her policies put in place. Sometimes I wonder if people in these comments even remember Neuman was the one who pushed Annie to use her millions of followers which lead to her forming the Starlighters to combat against Vaught and The Seven. She cares deeply for her husband, she was also being very supportive of Marie and gave her very sound advise about how to make it as a POC in a racist America. But for some reason people hate her and say she's an awful person and don't feel bad that she got brutally murdered and isn't to be trusted. She was close, so close to making it to her goal but Sage and Homelander beat her down. She had no choice but to run to The Boys. She lost all her progress the second Homelander outted her, causing her to lose her edge in the game. Honestly she lost the second Homelander ran to Sage because Sage had her eye on Neuman from the very start. Neuman was a threat to the villain's agenda, but people are happy she's .. dead? Because she .. killed people by exploding their heads? TLDR; Neuman was a good character and people who are glad she's dead completely forgot what she was aiming to do the whole time and forgot that throughout this entire show full of fucked up people, that she was a good person trying to do right by getting her hands dirty in a racist America.

I kinda wish Neuman didn’t go out like that…HOWEVER: I get why she did. In the first episode of the season, her durability was highlighted, and it was again in this last episode. Butcher taking her out with his super cancer highlights just how dangerous he’ll be in the next season, since he took out the head popper that not even Homelander’s laser vision could take out. But still…Neuman was one of my favorite characters. Would’ve been cool to see her and her daughter be free of all of the shit that ran their lives. Sure she did do some fucked up diabolical shit but that was due in large part to the fact that, like all supes, she’s been treated as a puppet, a weapon all her life.

Imma be honest, I think Annie was sort of justified in being upset. Like if I feel like if my significant other is doing things they normally don't do, I would at least ask if they were okay or if anything else was going on. And with more “new” behaviors im definitely asking more than once. Like it kinda just shows care and concern vs just ignoring it and going with the flow. Starlight was so fucking annoying this season. The fact that she actually gets mad at her boyfriend for getting sexual assaulted makes her look crazy. Fire reaction guys! One thing I didn’t like was the way they killed Neuman. Neuman had always been shown to be a problem, and killing her off just like that just to establish how strong Butcher is just felt a little lazy. Not that she didn’t need to go but she should have gone down fighting. Everything she did just for her daughter still to end up at red river was a little heartbreaking…maybe she’ll end up meeting Marie from Gen V. Sage coming back in such delight at being able to orchestrate an elaborate scheme like this was actually terrifying. It was the first time I started to acknowledge how much she needs to be taken off the board. Soldier boy being back is interesting. Wonder if his blast may end up depowering butcher and at the same time curing him. Hughie literally is just allergic to not suffering. Man has it rough. Idk why Sheera was so hard on Mallory. This is it. It’s literally the end game. It’s possible she could have let Ryan just go, but then what?! What if he takes time to think and he sides with homelander. Apparently for that Butcher and Hughie phone call scene, it was supposed to keep flipping between the two character's perspectives. Karl Urban put on such a good performance that they decided to just keep it focused on him for the whole scene.
