From here we follow along as they reach the milestones of their relationship and how they handle dating. Unfortunately, the manga's not that many chapters ahead, so it'll be a while before we get anything, but I don't doubt they'll plan to continue it with at least a movie once there's enough content to cover.

2024-07-12 04:22:14 +0000 UTCAlso, they did some chapter flipping here, the whole bedtime thing actually happened AFTER the confession, and Yamada actually freaked out because she bumped into "little ichikawa" And he IMMEDIATELY knew where to find her, none of the looking around. This episode has by far the most changes of any, but even as a manga reader I think for an episodic format and to make things hit harder, it works.

Other shows like Horimiya etc have the main couple get together very quickly and explore the growth and interactions with family, classmayes and in this case her job. (Shot in the dark here, but I think Ichikawa will some how get into acting or modeling). Also they low key put the plot point of what happens after this year school wise when Ichikawa was looking at the cram school ad so they might not even be in the same school in the future 🤷🏽♂️ also they are not as old as typical romcom cast. They’re only in 8th grade while Kaguya sama and others are seniors in high school so they got time. idk just an observation but they def got more content and ima be locked in for every bit lol. Definitely gonna miss this cat and mouse game they played tho.

Fruits Basket is a great mix of comedy and drama, and has more episodes (not too too much though) than the first two, so only do this one if you have the space to (and if you want to of course. From Me To You is so freaking cute! And the new season is starting next month! Horimiya is hilarious and peak high school shenanigans! You can’t go wrong with either of these animes and I think you’d enjoy them!

That said, it's still cute and funny. The dovetailing between the two season finales makes up for any lulls in the second season, imo.

Thankfully as I read the manga, it still keeps that interesting investment of their development and where we are in the Manga it's starting to get really good. Hell the next step in the relationship they pretty much hinted at is them trying to kiss but it kinda got flubbed. It's gonna be like a year or so for any chance of S3 of being announced due to lack of chapters but I think once we get done with the current arc in the Manga it is probably enough material to start S3.

But this was a great show, and I don't mind if the story ends here, most Japanese romances are always the build up to the confession while in the West, most love stories get the confession right away then build their relationship from there.

2024-07-11 20:04:20 +0000 UTCPart of the appeal of the manga from this point on is the very fact that most romcoms end here, so it all feels pretty fresh and unexplored ground and still maintains that investment because being in a relationship has it's own trials and big moments, especially for an overthinker like Kyotaro. Season 3 won't be for a while though because there's not enough chapters for it yet, but it's gonna be a banger season when it happens.

This manga/show is so special because it doesn't just end when they get together, but shows us their relationship and the awkwardness of first love when you're young. And it doesn't shy away from the reality of dealing with physical attraction on top of just the romantic angle. Sadly, there's only two volumes after where the anime ended, but I hope we eventually get a sequel, whether it be a movie or 3rd season. Loved y'all's reaction to it, too. Thanks for sticking with it.
