blue ranger's death is bittersweet, a cool character who the MC wont learn about + I think that guy in the end was Sakurama.

2024-07-10 02:42:02 +0000 UTCI hope they fix the pacing season 2 too. The frantic opening pace was actually refreshing, then the show went at a snails pace during that parking lot ranger school test

2024-07-03 23:43:49 +0000 UTCAs well as the animation, don't get me wrong there were cool vfx but when it came to fighting scenes or just some other aspects it didn't hype me up as much as the trailer did

2024-07-03 22:46:40 +0000 UTCLiterally the only flaw of this anime was the pacing structure completely ruined the flow

2024-07-03 14:32:30 +0000 UTCits best to read the manga, the pacing actually ruined it few or if not more parts given by someone who's already caught up.

2024-07-03 14:06:13 +0000 UTCYeah this anime fell off hard. Great premise but ever since D took on homie's appearance, I kinda just didn't like him no more. I probably needed to see more of the Dragon Keepers being horrible people to keep me locked in.

2024-07-03 12:20:54 +0000 UTCHow could you not see pacing issues? Lmao.

2024-07-03 09:43:07 +0000 UTCVery strong start, but it fell off hard like ninja kamui. I should read the manga perhaps

2024-07-03 06:44:40 +0000 UTCThe first arc is pretty much a drag for some people, in the manga too. Very drawn out for 51 chapters. But the story does get better after 100%

2024-07-03 06:01:29 +0000 UTCThe next arcs should be much easier to adapt, I still enjoyed the show but man the pacing issues later on were very distracting
PJ Rivera
2024-07-03 05:03:19 +0000 UTCThankfully, season 2's pacing should be much better since the next arcs are easier to adapt into anime form.

2024-07-03 02:52:53 +0000 UTCNo not really, but what you should do is read the manga. It's really good and the anime doesn't do it any justice.

2024-07-03 02:45:17 +0000 UTCI stopped watching this show after episode 3. Does it improve enough for me to continue watching?

2024-07-03 00:21:54 +0000 UTCThere are definitely some pacing issues in the way they adapted this first season, but it got me intrigued enough to binge the manga and I really enjoy it. I'm hoping people give season 2 a shot because the story is worth it and maybe the studio improves
Alex
2024-07-03 00:18:09 +0000 UTCI definitely agree, there need to be way more manga reactions than there are, although I feel like it would be a bit harder to do effectively than anime reactions, and people also might just wanna sit down and read in their free time so I'm not sure it'll ever get popular

2024-07-02 23:58:10 +0000 UTCWell more people are coming in to read the manga because of the anime so that’s a win imo. It got ppl invested in the story so I don’t consider it butchered; Promised Neverland, now THAT was butchered. I wish there was a way to make manga reactions more of a thing.

2024-07-02 23:56:54 +0000 UTCY'all should check out "Viral Hit" next, underdog of the season

2024-07-02 23:47:45 +0000 UTCHonestly Blue's comments about the "Dragon God" this episode got me thinking. His comments were literally similar to how the fighters felt about their Boss Monsters. If the Boss Monsters created the Fighters to have a more populous force, it makes sense for the "Dragon God" to them same, but with the rangers. So now I keep thinking, is this "Dragon God" actually just a Boss Monster as well, and not an actual God, who is brainwashing the rangers? Looking forward to season 2

2024-07-02 23:47:35 +0000 UTCYeah at this point with all of the stuff alluding to another badly paced season I'm not sure if the studio even cares about this series aside from the concept lmao cuz they butchered this shit

2024-07-02 23:39:35 +0000 UTCThat’s one fear I have as well. Unless it’s 24 episodes but everything alludes to a 12 episode 2nd season. However even if they wanted to squeeze 2 major arcs in 12 episodes it would be impossible, logically speaking, even for them. 70+ chapters worth of content.

2024-07-02 23:36:34 +0000 UTCHave fun reading, hope you enjoy it

2024-07-02 23:35:11 +0000 UTCI enjoyed that season even with the pacing issues but it definitely hurt it. I picked up the first 10 volumes of the manga so I'm gonna give those a shot

2024-07-02 23:34:08 +0000 UTCI welcome any discussion about the series in general and the anime, so feel free to comment if you disagree with anything I said. I won't be listing all the things the anime changed this episode except if it's relevant to my point cuz it makes the comments take up too much space and adds nothing. Someone's reply to my last comment made me realize that. If you want to see the changes read the manga yourself. For your convenience I've added TLDR's under the paragraphs that oversimplify my points if you don't want to read. Also if you're wondering how I write so much: I'm a writer, so this much is nothing to me and I write down my thoughts about the episode while I'm watching. Only takes me like 5-7 mins of writing tbh PLEASE GIVE THE MANGA A CHANCE IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHOW DISCLAIMER: This is still all just my opinion as someone who likes the story, you don't have to feel the same way. First of all on a lighter note than me talking about the adaptation, ranger reject is getting a stage play adaptation in japan! I'm guessing it has nothing to do with the studio and anime, but rather is from people who like the manga and concept of it. Them having an entire stage play is massive for the manga's popularity in japan, and its being directed and screen written by the people who made multiple seasons of the kamen rider show, and red keeper is being played by one of the main actors in kamen rider! I quite frankly no longer give a shit if the adaptations good or not cuz ranger reject fans are eating GOOD right now with the stage play. I'll have to find recordings of it online somewhere. Anyway on to the my thoughts about the anime. The first general thing I want to give my thoughts about is them adding a lot of filler towards the end of the episode. Half of the stuff that happened after blue keeper died is anime original content. The problem with this content is it adds basically nothing to the season and directly conflicts with what we already know in the manga. It also gives the viewer wrong idea about suzukiri and her purpose in the story. I won't go into details but as someone having read the manga (unless I'm remembering wrong but no spoilers for this review) them adding those scenes is so confusing to me. It also brings up a pretty scary point. Most of the things they add in the anime are from the arc after the next. This means that season two will likely be adapting more than one major arc. If this does end up happening, this means more cut content for the next two arcs and means the anime adaptation will never be good and everything I was hoping season two will improve on I was wrong about. I guess we'll just have to see. TLDR: They added a ton of stuff that wasn't in the manga alluding to later arcs making the possibility that they'll adapt more than one major arc next season and speed through them both once again very real. The second general thing I want to talk about is the music. The music for this anime is the single sorriest soundtrack for an anime I've ever heard, hands down. There are legitimately only like 6 tracks in the entire ost and they use the same ones over and over for every scene, especially the carnival-like music. Its pretty irritating even if you haven't read the manga. The third thing is the animation. I think the best comparison I could possibly make is to the first season of record of ragnarok. Incredible art, fights, and impact that was all lost when it was made into an anime and animated badly. That's how I feel about this season of the anime. A lot of odd decisions were made regarding the animation of the season, one particular example I can point out during the episode is them having D's text get in the way of him in his flashback. This is not only an anime original gag which has no logical reason to be included, it also pulls us out of an otherwise serious scene depicting D's life up until this point and setting up for the climax of this arc and the beginning of the next. A ton of nonsensical changes like this were made throughout the anime that honestly just bring the source material down. Combine this with the reused bad music tracks, cut content, and the already minimal amount of budget this season was seemingly made on and it really does just feel to me like you're experiencing a downgraded version of the manga in every way. Speaking of cut content, yes if you were wondering they cut out a decent amount of content from this episode as well. One piece of cut content I do want to highlight is that throughout the fight with peltrola and D in the manga blue is seen using heikuru's ability (the acid one from ep 4). They just cut out any mention of him even in dialogue (blue keeper mentions him when he sees D), which is really odd to me because why are they so adamant to keep him out of the show? Just an odd detail that I realized while watching. TLDR: Music choice for anime bad animation bad and cut content bad but I talk about it across the entire season this time instead of just in this episode Thanks again for reading any of my previous comments and also this one, and I think that about convers my general thoughts about the season. I am personally in an extremely good mood with how things turned out for the manga (disregarding the quality of the adaptation, of course), because many more people will read the manga not just because of the anime but also the stage play which I WILL BE WATCHING.

2024-07-02 23:20:27 +0000 UTCSo people who don't want to read the paragraph of my thoughts about the show don't have to scroll past it, I'll put it as a reply to this comment. If you want to read my thoughts, it'll be down below. Thanks for reading if you do, and my bad for not doing this previously, it kind of just slipped my mind people would actually have a problem with it.
