2024-06-28 18:51:14 +0000 UTCThe issue with that interpretations are things like: When Cheng Xiaoshi went back in time to possess Xu Shanshan, he started the argument akwardly with himself which wasn't the case before. In Doudou's kidnapping case, Cheng Xiaoshi wasn't previously on the camera feed but after he went back in time, he appeared on there. If Cheng Xiaoshi was always there then the captain or someone who watched the camera footage should have realised it to be strange in their initial viewing since they found it strange the second time.

Like Xiaoshi distracting Qiao Ling from the kid, or the latest trap. The murderer going "I'll be there as promised" proves he didn't kill Shanshan because his promise to Xiaoshi was to not hurt her. Smart stuff

Last episode when they first realized the girl was in trouble, they got a message @ 10am: “I’ll be there, my new friend”. That was the murderer confirming he would come to the photoshop instead. So cheng had already saved her in the past last episode without his present self knowing🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯HOLY FUCK THIS ANIME IS CRAZY

Same way with how the girl got distracted when looking at the kid even though they hadn't traveled back in time yet. So him saving their friend from dying was gonna happen no matter what and ig she just didn't have the death node at that time. At least this is my thought process. When the child got abducted, he was prolly already in the ctv footage but like was glossed over since he was prolly just some random dude to the police officer at the time.

If you like Link Click, check that drama out. They even go into a similar thing where they're willing to change time when it affects someone close to them. The main girl in that show, Suzy, is very similar to Cheng Xiaoshi in how she wants to use her time powers to help people for a better future

At the end of episode 8 when they revealed that something had happened to their friend, the message from her phone said "I'll be there." "My new friend." or something like that and then they received a call from the distorted voice that again said he would be there. Now in this episode Cheng is in her body changing things PROIR to that message and call, meaning we saw the future results of what happened in this episode back in that episode. Cheng just told him to not hurt her and that at 10am he would get a clue as to where to show up and then for him to show up at the same time that night. So Cheng was in her body a day in the past talking to the guy, while in present time at the exact same time the guy was at their studio because that's what Cheng was instructing him to do in the past. This is why I kept recommending this show because it is so dope.

I still think it's understandable that he would want to interfere in the others too.
