If Cheng would have simply looked at her ID without waking her and then left the picture, in the present they would have simply looked for her, hopefully finding her, but we don't know what condition the boy would have been in at that time. They changed the future outcome by telling her that she will be caught in 3 years and the boy better not be harmed. This ensured she didn't sell him off or do anything to him so that when she was caught he would be in the requested condition as to not upset her ancestors.

Ou Yang's dad has supernatural strength, longevity, and the shining finger. Siwen learned how to Shoryuken, but not how to G Gundam). Introducing Siwen Sifu was an excuse to introduce fighting into the series, and explain why the main crew got hands outta nowhere. That uppercut also looked more like Dante's final impact more than a Shoryuken

It takes the setting to a whole another level, despite a lot of the latter half of s2 being just relooking at the same scene from a different perspective 😅. The beginning is what hooked me to continue, but the latter half is what sold me on this being top 10 worthy of any sci-fi show/movie
