The teacher giggled because they were holding hands she’s teasing them like “oOoOhh am i interrupting something here? I better go” Ichikawa didn’t think Yamada was mad at her. Ichikawa told her to lay off the snacks because he wants it to be over. He doesn’t want to get his hopes up that maybe he has a chance with her so he just wanted it to be over by telling her not to eat snacks anymore. *Important subtle details you guys missed* Yamada talked about how the male lead in Kimi Iro Octave is a cold and quiet person but actually nice and sweet on the inside. Sounds familiar right? Yamada wanted milk tea last episode but her “bf” stopped her from getting it in the convenience store. When Yamada was crying when they wee left behind, Ichikawa remembered and gave Yamada a milk tea which made her very happy and was PROBABLY like “omg did he remember I wanted milk tea?????”

The anime didn’t tell us this outright but last episode Yamada was telling her friend she wanted some milk tea. So when Ichikawa gave her some it shows that he notices these small things about her which is why she got flustered.

There really is only so much that Yamada can do until Ichikawa makes a move, she can be obvious with her intentions but if Ichikawa doesn't fully catch on then their relationship doesn't go any further than just friends.

Something as simple as a bottle of milk tea that she wanted, a sign that he listens to her, and holding her hand I'm the library, melting the chocolate, finally made Anna aware of her own feelings. How she behaves after this will be very telling.
