2024-05-01 08:20:02 +0000 UTCATTENTION ALL, PLEASE READ: The creator of this show advised revisiting certain episodes from s4 (1,2,8,9) of the OG. Here is a summary of those episodes: 1. The episode 7 intro had a fun call back to S4, where you see people running for their lives in a super quick pan over shot. It's the same exact shot, too. 2. Season 4 started with an alternate timeline where Charles Xavier died in 1959, meaning No X-men. Despite this, Magneto still rises up as the leader of the Mutants and leads the war against humanity. Most of the characters are still present, just not as the unified team called "X-men". Several characters had huge design changes, including Scott, who features a whole Birdman transformation as he has wings, feathers, even talons 😆 Honestly most of the alternate looks are dope! 3. (Remember "current day" for this show in 1997) Bishop and Shard (in the future year of 2055) are tasked with stopping a disturbance in the time, which turned out to be FITZROY traveling back in time from 2055 to 1959 to be the one to kill Xavier. They go back to find the world they knew changed for the worse after Fitzroy (with the help of Nimrod) succeeded. 4. To summarize the rest of these events, the group of Bishop, Shard, Wolverine, and Storm go through their Terminator mission in classic 90s fashion: If at first you fail... Try, try again! So they basically go back to save Charles, fail, then have to go back to 2055 to try to go back a literal 5 minutes earlier... You see a world where Mastermold has almost completely won, but due to a lack of volume control (total clown shit), he tips off Fitzroy to do the right thing and NOT kill Xavier. The ending of the 2-part opener for s4 is great, truly. 5. I LEFT OUT THE IMPORTANT PART... So Wolverine and Storm were married, right? Well, that was in a world without the X-men. When Bishop showed the married couple their alternate lives, Logan wasn't with it. Even later on, Bishop holds him at gunpoint because it's revealed that Logan never wanted the plan to work because he loved Storm more than anything else and could've cared less for saving the world. But, Storm valued saving the lives of countless others more than saving her love for Logan (ouch). Either way, it was really cute seeing them together. The way the episode ends is really goosebumps worthy 😭 These notes were from "One Man's Worth" (episodes 1 and 2 of s4 of the OG). 6. Later in S4, in what looks VERY, VERY similar to Magneto's magnum opus in the courtroom scene of episode 2 of XM'97, we see Magneto giving a declaration to the world via terrorizing an UN meeting. In said declaration, Magnus declares he has stolen away several mutant scientists to help him build a utopia in space, for mutants to live free of human hatred and tyranny. He then sends his message to the world, saying any mutant wish to join him simply wait at the pickup points, and he'd been there to take them "Home". Very cool stuff. Unless you're Charles, in which case, you're just a hater (He wasn't on board from the get). 7. Obviously the humans didn't take that lightly, so a mini war started on Genosha when Magento came for the mutant slaves at the time. These events actually led to the free, beautiful, and abundant with life Genosha we saw in ep 5 (XM'97). BEFORE this, it was human-run trap advertised as a free country that drew in mutants so they could capture them and enslave them. Well, it was damn near the Guantanamo Bay for Mutants.. Basically. 8. Juicy, juicy, just... Juic-E (The OG needs a reboot ASAP, like just remastered animation... or just redrawn in it's entirety lol)... So, Magneto wished to be peaceful in his departure from Earth and his new colony. However, humans scare easily and trust rarely, so everyone was om edge. However, things might have worked out for the better if not for ONE particular influencer in this story... One, Fabien Cortez. 9. When Charles Xavier lost the ability to walk, he was nursed back to health by a fellow mutant named Amelia Voght, who he would eventually fall In love with. She forced him to choose either the X-men or her... and So the story goes...After the break up, Charles renounced love and doubled down on his work with the X-men. Why mention this? Oh, they just so HAPPENED to meet on Magneto's space colony (Asteroid M, for short). Drama, drama, drama... Mm! 10. So, back to Fabian.... idk if this is always insane, but boy, was he unhinged in his debut. He's quick to pledge allegiance to Magneto, only to turn on this man, and Damm near KILLED him, all because he wanted to annihilate humans without remorse. Magnus was very mature in handling things until this man Cortez just went off the deep end. Cool powers, though. He can augment mutant powers, meaning he can amply powers to the max and nerf them completely however he decides. He can even heal people with a fun little "option" to make the healing addictive or not. He almost killed Magneto by healing him so many times, he got him addicted, and then turned on him by taking ALL of his powers away to the point that Magento couldn't even "hold your(his) molecules" together. Yupp, he made him vanish completely 🤣 11. The events play out failry normal. After trying to frame Gambit and the X-men as responsible for Magneto's demise, Fabian Cortez just turns into a Psycho that even his own crew start to suspect. It all ends when Magneto, reborn thanks to the Earth's magnetism rejuvenating him, returns for vengeance and ultimately destroys the Asteroid. But here's something VERY important... At the very end of the episode, we see Fabian was saved from the destruction by none other than Apocalypse himself. He tells buddy he'll be needing him very soon for his plans... the next arc isn't supposed to be relevant to the next '97 arc, but it IS the 2nd time Jean and Scott try to get married... I leave it there for now. Just in case. These notes above are in reference to "Santcuary" (s4 episodes 8 and 9 of the OG) Thank you, and Have a goodnight!

The reporter was showing that they are people too and could leverage symphathy, but when she voiced the correct statement that rioting is not the answer got unwanted aggression. X-men rushing to find the culprit accomplished nothing. Not calling on their allies was especially stupid when they went to a UN building that Cap is allowed to enter which is close to a Stark building that Tony could conveniently be at.

Its very real that they couldnt give a fuck about waiting for goverment action or cap, they know roughly who did it and instead of going to get him the world is putting mutants even more under the microscope and talking about how much of a threat they are despite a significant amount of their population being murdered in cold blood by sentinels. The fact that the remaining mutants havent actively folded anything in their way with zero empathy shows how remarkably better they are then the humans that look down on them.

The creator of this show and the lead writer (Beau DeMayo 😉) gave THIS heads up for the last 3 episode arc: Take an hour and a half and go back to the OG series and watch Season 4 episode 1 and 2, then episodes 6 and 7. They lay most of the groundwork for where this last arc is going, and ALL of your questions should be answered before the final stretch begins. I'LL be watching it a couple times before Wednesday, so I'll drop the important stuff for anyone who doesn't do the same.

From what is shown the President wants to help, but also needs to protect himself from the FOH who stormed a UN building for following the law and find out how this happened. Rogue killing uninvolved people and being petty to Cap who provided her information and just needed a go ahead (which he can get from the president). Beast lashing out at his reporter friend who was doing a good PR piece for a friend and acting like he wasn't also sitting around while the massacre happened.

And even though she ALWAYS keeps those powers, she can still absorb and use other people's powers whenever she feels like it. I've never understood her power in the slightest, but it seemed like the amount of time she spends touching someone, the more it actually does. For example, when Rogue touched or kissed Logan in the og movies, he could withstand it longer than most, but recovered from it as slow as anybody would have, because his powers needed to return. If I'm not mistaken, she touched him or vice-versa, in order to help her heal up a wound quicker using his abilities. Anyways... Say she touches you for 10 seconds. That's a temporary siphon of your abilities that she can use for a short period of time. BUT, If she, say, never let go of you like she did with Carol, she'd absorb every ounce of your power, have it FOREVER, and leave you dead or powerless. I guess her power is very similar to AFO, but she doesn't want to use it that way, because she still doesn't seem to fully embrace, accept, or understand her own abilities... and probably never will, tbh. Didn't Rogue absorb some of the Pheonix one time and basically got mind controlled into being a problem for an arc? Lol, X-men goes everywhere, man 🤣

Israeli settlers or soldiers would just go to Palestinian villages to attack the villagers by destroying their property or killing the civilians and the worst they would get is that they would be banned from the West Bank for 6 months. And when the Palestinians retaliate against the Israeli settlers and soldiers, then the mainstream media will only try to paint the Palestinians as irrational people who only know violence. Which is something that occurs a lot in X-Men comics.

2024-04-25 02:57:27 +0000 UTCi can see them splitting up the team and having two xmen teams like in the comics. a gold and blue team but here in the show they wont be on the same side. one team is the classic x-men team and the other the more extreme/proactive team. with magneto being alive, he will be the leader of one team with rogue, wolverine and MAYBE cyclops and they can add in some other big names from the comics like colossus and kitty pryde. then next season will be a whole 'nother level of x-citement with multiple x-teams running around.

MAJOR PROBLEM! they adapt to whatever powers are used against them and have self repair mode (basically a healing factor). you just saw how they struggled with one and lost. imagine an army of them! in the comics, the xmen got their butts handed to them and only a few scattered around the country were left. its how we got new xmen teams and jean started manifesting phoenix effects to her powers. will be interesting to see if they do with jubilee in the show what they did with her in the comics. her and bastion (the new main villain) have a very interesting conversation in a self contained issue. next week starts OZT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this story arc has a very special place in my heart as its the event that was going on when i started reading comics. 27 years later and it still hits hard!

2024-04-25 00:57:06 +0000 UTCWith the way things have been going with Rogue’s behavior and lines this episode, the way the mutants were talkin in Genosha, and Cyclop’s speech a couple episodes ago, i can definitely see the big ender of this season being us seeing the X-Men and certain characters going down the extremist path and that being the main conflict and status quo next season. ESPECIALLY Cyclops because thats a real big thing for him in the comics(fye ass suit change too). I think it’d be really interesting and ironic comparing how he acts towards Magneto this season to him picking up a few tricks from his bag next season. Also i hate when they include and write Cap to have him all on that “bureaucratic” shit where he lives and day by the government because its well know that when it comes down to it, he will be one of the first people saying fuck the government and doing his own thing(the entire reason Civil War even happens in the first place). Its just strange to me because thats the WHOLEEEE reason US Agent exist is to be a bureaucratic goverment lap dog Captain America

Literally Nightcrawler and Jean could have stopped dude from fallingto his death way before Rogue let him die.
