NANAHOSHI'S DEPRESSION We must complement what was shown in the anime and what was omitted in the manga. -> Nanahoshi's depression lasted a week at Rudeus's house, being cared for and fed like a doll, here it seems like it lasted a day. -> The first thing she said when they all gathered in her room was if they were going to rape her, being that the first thing she said in a week it really made the atmosphere uncomfortable and you could only feel the magnitude of her indifference and condition. -> As I mentioned once, she feels like an intruder in the world, her entire body is at rest in time because she does not age, her hair does not grow, nor her nails nor does she have a period, and her wounds do not heal and she uses scrolls when Gets hurt. Now, without a purpose the logic of the world (magic) was not going to allow her to return even after reaching the pinnacle of her effort because all the logic she created was almost 0 since it was considered lost magic with few references, she really thought seriously in killing herself

She even wore a mask all the time and was known as Ms. Silent since she never talked to nobody. She had come to a "give and take" agreement with Rudy where she ONLY needed Rudy for his mana for her experiments, so Rudy has been helping her with what she needed, by giving his mana to activate her magic circles. Rudy would have obviously helped more if she had let him.

I'm glad she was able to reach out in a way though! Also I was laughing with my friend about the fact that they inadvertently introduced microplastics to the world now by summoning that bottle 🤣

Easiest way to explain it is that incantations give a verbal command to your mana in order to get a desired effect while casting magic without incantations requires understanding of the desired effect itself then pushing your mana to execute the desired effect. Rudy's understanding of science in his old life is how he's able to cast so many offensive spells without incantations because he understands how things like fire combusts or how the weather changes.

2024-04-22 22:29:48 +0000 UTCBeside what the anime showed of Nanahoshi's breakdown, in the LN one of the first things she does is take off her mask and throw it at the ground. She was wearing it until then, and had worn it more frequently than in the anime. She also clawed at her face and pulled her hair before being restrained. She's been here for 6 years, got no mana so she can't do a lot of what the natives can, and doesn't even age. Still looks exactly like she did when summoned at 17 years old. It's sad. O yeah, I think Sheera got it, Nanahoshi has tried to fix that issue for a while by designing around where it happens. The circle has doubled in size, yet it fails anyway, so she figured its impossible and was giving up. Rudeus not being able to heal or detox chantlessly isn't related to understanding feelings, he just doesn't comprehend how to do it even though Sylphie can, and both of them can do attack magic without chants. One likely reason he can't is that his mana pool is so huge, he can't feel how the mana interacts with his when he's being healed, like a few drops in the ocean.

People always gas up the idea of being isekai’d but like imagine one day u wake up and you’re in another world completely foreign to you and you find out no matter how hard you try. You will never be able to go back home and be with your friends and family. Being isekai’d is cool don’t get me wrong, but people tend to forget that in these types of stories, the characters usually never get the chance to go home
