Nah, Rimuru doesn't come close to Veldora. Even awakened, he had a very hard time keeping with Milim who was essentially just playing around. Meanwhile when Veldora came, she started to unleash a lot more power (but it was still playing around, for both her and Veldora). The only demon lords capable of competing with Veldora are Milim and Red.

But that was an incredibly rare situation. That human was a 'yuusha' (which are as special as demon lords according to Milim) and since then Veldora got stronger (ultimate skill and whatnot)

It's pretty amazing if you binge, but watching week to week can be frustrating. Like season 2's 2nd half where at the end of an episode they're about to start a meeting... then by the end of the next episode they're about to start that same meeting again.

No one ever told her differently... until now. And even now they didn't straight up say that Veldora is far more powerful than Luminous (and I think Rimuru at this point is probably of comparable strength to Luminous, if not slightly stronger). Well, looking at the other demon lords... Rimuru is probably top 5-6. But since it's not even remotely near the end of the story yet, there's probably no shortage of beings that are still currently out of Rimuru's league who aren't demon lords (like among the angels). I don't think it'll end before Milim gets a good fight that requires her to go all in to win.

Edward will obviously be the next king so he's just happy that he finally got his chance to be king, we obviously know what will happen if he acts up against Rimuru though lol. Also from the conversation with Luminus, it seems that "angels" attack when a civilisation gets too advanced so that's probably why they're trying to get in Rimuru's way. I'm assuming the easter merchant is the guy who is trying to take over the world with the clowns but I'm not sure. That's all I gathered from this episode.

This episode feels like window dressing for everything else we may get this season. Also, notice all these factions are wanting to jump but nobody want the smoke with slime right now. Though it does seem Valentine has more contention with Veldora than anything else. Loved the world building we got this episode.
