People like that act the way they do because of how their brains are wired, not because they are necessarily malicious. It seems malicious to us because our brains don’t work the same way.

It often bothers me that people often miss the message the story is conveying about how to see Mun Yeong’s behavior. But you guys get it. Sang Tae is sweet most of the time, and Mun Yeong is not, so I understand why it is easier to have compassion for Sang Tae than Mun Yeong, but actually Mun Yeong deserves some compassion too. Mun Yeong’s inability to respond appropriately, the way other people would, isn’t really any more her fault than Sang Tae’s is. They are both neurodivergent. Sang Tae has a neurodevelopmental difference—autism. Mun Yeong has been diagnosed as having antisocial personality disorder. That is not the same as simply being antisocial. People who have ASPD have brains that are wired differently from neurotypical brains. Their brains simply don’t work the same way that neurotypical brains do. Both Mun Yeong and Sang Tae can only change their behavior through intensive intervention by someone who understands them and knows how to help them. In fact, it is easier for someone with autism to modify their behavior—unless they have intellectual deficits or too severe hypersensitivity—than for someone who has a personality disorder to change. That is why early on Gang Tae said that Mun Yeong has a poor prognosis and that it is better to avoid people like her. It is very hard for people with personality disorders to overcome their ingrained ways of thinking and acting. With help and patience, those with less severe cases can improve somewhat. Yes, Mun Yeong behaves badly. Sang Tae sometimes behaves badly as well, as when he hits his brother. Neither of them should get to behave badly. They both need help, and they both need understanding.

Personally aside she's highly intelligent and knows enough about Sang-tae's personality to predict how he'd blow up seeing her playing with that toy at the time of posting i felt and feel like she was marking her territory.

2024-12-23 18:33:33 +0000 UTCHow would Mun Yeong know that Gang Tae didn’t get permission from Sang Tae to give her Mang Tae? She has been trying to win Sang Tae over to get closer to Gang Tae. I don’t think she would deliberately sabotage that effort after all the trouble she went through to get Sang Tae on her side. I only see her deliberately provoking or attacking people who behave poorly themselves, like the man who said he wanted to kill his own daughter, that nasty book reviewer who insulted and sexually harassed her, the guy that pulled Sang Tae’s hair in the bookstore, and so on. She behaves badly a lot—for reasons, but I don’t think she deliberately set out to provoke or hurt Sang Tae.

As far as Koi Moon goes, the fight with the brother is why I can't completely be on board with her character. He made her feel some type of way commenting about her hair Which he can't help. So she decided to antagonize him with the toy. She knew exactly the reaction he would have upon seeing it in her possession, She's playing a really dangerous game because he could snap and kill her Just like that kid who beat his teacher nearly to death because she took his video game. he Was tried and sentenced as an adult.

It takes them way longer to try and adapt to changes than allistics. Though it was mainly played for laughs, it's partially the reason why Sangtae was having a hard time trying to accept Moonyoung's new hairstyle. It's also why he's going to have a hard time dealing with the changes in his life from here on out. I also wanted to mention that in Korean, the words "pen" and "fan" are pronounced the same way. So when Moonyoung said, "the pen was just so handsome," Gangtae thought she said, "the fan was just so handsome." That's why he was jealous and said that the "fan" just seemed like a cheeseball while walking away. 😂 Also when she said, "탐나" at the beginning of that scene, it actually doesn't specify if she wants "it" or "him." She's basically just saying, "I want." That's where the misunderstanding comes from on Gangtae's part throughout that whole scene. I'm loving these reactions, by the way! I love watching this drama again with you guys. 💕 Take it easy and thank you for your videos!

He literally has nothing for himself because he has been conditioned since he was little to give, give, give, and he struggles with living his life otherwise. He, too, is a dog on a leash.
