"ladybird ladybird, fly away. your house is on fire and your child is gone". jean/maddie was the phoenix so thats the lady bird. house is on fire as in her figurative home (the xmen) has been destroyed (burned down) and "the child is gone" you not getting this baby girl. would explain why she ran away so quickly and magically had a new name picked out. just like with his more overt brainwashing caused her to name the baby nathan (sinister's real name) and urge her to leave the xmen after the baby's birth (away from the xmen so sinister can get the baby more easily) as well has her naming herself goblin queen (he referred to her being royalty several times before the transformation), i think he is still manipulating her in a less overt manner.

2024-04-04 02:34:23 +0000 UTCbest episode of the season so far. madelyne is one of my fave x-men characters. in the comics she never replaced jean, just came into scott's life and by extension as madelyne pryor after jean died in the dark phoenix saga. i like this change cause it allows us all to instantly have a bond with her without taking the necessary time it would take to introduce and endear us to a new character. animation is fire af but i wish this was a two parter or at least an extended length episode. I WANT MORE! her goblin queen energy signature is GOATED! if you want to read more about her, look into the comic "x-men: Inferno" from the 80s. that was basically the story they adapted here minus a shit ton of characters. sneak peak: her inferno was unleashed on ALL Of new york not just the mansion so all the marvel super heroes got involved. also, starting with issue 25, she was a reaccuring character in the x-man (not to be confused with xmen) comic.

After seeing she was he had a mental breakdown, he then tried contacting Maddie and she didn’t respond. He then went and joined x factor and while Jean was trynna get back with him he was pushing her away because he was still looking for maddie and cable. He was definitely wrong for walking out in the first place but he didn’t just throw them away he was literally going to stay with them he just needed to get his mental right lmao

What he meant at the end was that HE himself doesn't want any part of abandoning their son because of how his dad Corsair left him (They showed him in the original), but he understands they have to do what they have to do. HE just didn't want to be the one to have to do it. Also Cable did show up in the original series too if I recall correctly so it's cool to finally see them close the loop on that. Mr. Sinister - What needs to be understood about Mr. Sinister is that he is obsessed with creating the perfect mutant and believes the combined genes of both Scott Summers and Jean Grey will give him that. In season 2 of the first series, Sinister kidnapped Scott and Jean ON THEIR HONEYMOON to try to use them in his experiments. He was able to accomplish this in part by using a brainwashed Morph to mess with the X-Men. That didn't work, so he's now resorted to cloning Jean and having a baby with Scott to get his desired genetic material. [Side note: I wouldn't be surprised if All For One from My Hero Academia were inspired by Sinister and/or Apocalypse]. Cyclops - Scott was trying to get the baby because once they realized Sinister was involved, they knew the child would be in danger. And if Madeline was a clone created by Sinister, she would no doubt be under his control and take the baby. When they fight at the church, Scott tries to reason with Madeline because even if he doesn't know when Sinister switched Jean, he knows that Madeline is the MOTHER of THEIR child. Also, when Scott says, "I can't be a part of this," he's not abandoning Nathan. He knows the only way for his son to live is to go to the future. He can't be there because he knows he'll either try to stop them or try to go with them. I've worked in mental health for over 20 years now. I've worked with many individuals (kids and adults) who had one or both parents abandon them. They all expressed questioning whether that parent loved them. I've even seen this with kids who had a parent die and felt like that parent abandoned them. Honestly, I feel terrible for Scott. Charles Xavier, the only father figure he's known, is gone, but now he's lost his child and the mother of that child and has to deal with all this time, his wife being held captive by Mr. Sinister, and he does not even realize it. Side Notes: 1. Jean Grey's psychic powers awakened when her best friend died, and Jean psychically experienced that friend's death. Also, notice the doll young Jean had when Professor X showed up to see her. It's a Cyclops. 2. When Bishop says he knows a guy in the future who can build anything and possibly save baby Nathan, he's referring to Forge, the same man who shows up to help Storm regain her powers.

Don’t get me wrong Maddie does do fucked up shit both before she becomes the Goblin Queen and after but Scott was both a bad husband and father from the start

In the comics Scott had no issue abandoning her and his child for the real Jean which made her go crazy. He left her and the baby without really saying anything other than he has a mission with the x-men and never came back. She had to find out herself way later. And apparently the Goblin Force is a thing like the Phoenix force? I don't remember too much on what ComicsExplained said but wow I feel bad for miss Goblin Queen.

He also worked on castlevania so thats why the fight scenes have so much heat. Also what is it with these superhero shows and cloning red heads?
