2024-04-07 02:20:23 +0000 UTCDamn. This show was really good. I'm not mad at all at the way things played out in the end. It's kinda refreshing seeing Junmo try to save the criminals he cared about. Most shows the main character would've just tried to do 'the right thing' and arrest them. But this felt more believable.

2024-04-06 21:47:57 +0000 UTCI think the end its fitting for a plot that started only because Junmo wanted to be acknowledged as an individual and not a product of his father instead of actually wanting to catch Gicheul he was just used by the force in the end which is why he lost all respect for the commissioner. And in the end he realised Haeryun was in the same situation and to be fair I think theyve made it clear enough that Haeryun and Junmo are gonna reunite in Hong Kong.

I do have mixed feelings about it because it still sort of feel like everything was for nothing. Which may be the point but as an ending leaves me a little lacking. I feel they should have pushed the relationships further between Junmo, Haeryun, Gicheul, and Euijong more. I feel in both pairs if it was more clearly displayed that both Euijong and Junmo were on the fence about having different lives and lovers it would have made a more clear crash out of their relationships.

He pushed everyone away that wouldve helped him suss out Junmo just to be with her.

It seems to me that the two characters who really just cared about other people as a person, an individual for their values and personality Junmo and Haeryun were the only ones following their heart and were ready to let go of everything else. Whereas Gicheul was so fixated on image and how things would look that he would leave his life as a gangster behind, only to be with Euijong and no other reason other than that even though he keeps trying to lie to himself. Gicheul retaliated because he lost everything for no reason while Haeryun didnt care about losing everything as long as she knew Junmo genuinely cared for her as a person. In the end, Junmo lost his respect for the force, didnt shake his commanders hand and only saluted the one person who genuinely looked out for him and even gave his life (unintentionally though) for him. He realised that Euijong and her family were the reason he got pushed to this point and that all he needs in his life are people that care for him and respect him for how he is as a person not his position in society.

It was never a main focal point but rather a slow burn that could've went any other way. The comedy is peak, if you wasn't laughing almost every episode then that's just a personal issue lol and you listed comedy/romance as if those two are what matters. Vincenzo was more about development, story and action. And it did its respective jobs

Gicheul with plenty of opportunities to walk away refuse to do so sounds like some one I know cough cough berry. Was planning on leaving the gang behind with out notifying nobody but hindsight junbae was stealing from them which put them in a bigger problem later in the show it was only matter of time. Junbae set gicheal up and end up taking the fall for everything. Chief was warned what will happend if he killed the cop and did it anyways now he locked up. Park friend got his revenge. Park got what he wanted at the cost of his marriage and friend. And his wife took the biggest L all show. To me she served no purpose did more harm then good. Was going on secret dates. Calling this nigga after hours while he was there and she knew. Wearing gicheal necklace even when he wasn’t around. Not to mention she kept the matching other necklace all these while married to park. And I think the final straw was a a woman of god you manipulated this so call friend of yours to do what ever you wanted to arrest him for his crime but now you want him to get away?? So when he shows up to your house because he lost everything you still tried to reason with him. I would have divorced her to after that especially she was in on it with the chief to withhold information that park friend had been past and was only holding out to finish the case.remember he was brought on this case for gicheal not to take down an international drug sting. They should have been pulled him out like park friend wanted but his wife co signed the big boss.

However, with her keeping the necklace that Gi-Cheul gave and other things as the show goes along, I think her emotions started to dwindle on the side of Gi-Cheul while the feelings she had for Jummo went down. It was a trade at the end of the day.

Jungbae would have never acted up or been dismissed because gicheuls priority’s wouldn’t have been somewhere else. Junmo would have either been found out or taken way longer to get a higher position in the gang. As much as do find Eujeong to be irritating sometimes she played a huge part in terms of the gangs downfall

2024-04-02 01:35:09 +0000 UTCTo be honest, I don't think Gicheul did anything wrong (morally) other than being a middleman for the drug trade between the Chinese and Japanese (I know that's pretty bad on its own lol). The only deaths he was responsible for were criminals if I recall correctly. Jungbae was selling drugs in Korea behind his back. They were only supposed to be the middleman, so that was a big betrayal. After that everyone sided with Jungbae when they felt Gicheul was abandoning them, but Gicheul was grooming Seungho (someone equally as capable as Gicheul) as the new leader so they weren't going to be abandoned. His gang did him dirty IMO.

L wife, but great cop. she practically destroyed the whole gang on her own. the moment gicheul started seeing her again, he lost the trust of his two besties. honestly, i think that junmo would be better with the other chick anyway. i heard they're making a second season. i hope they bring her back.
