Tanjiro is a good example of a character that is a force of pure good he helps every person he interacts with as long as they aren’t evil. And kills those he deems as evil but I don’t think he has to be pure good to help his friends. Like seeing your friend get beat with a steel pipe while they are on the verge of getting disabled seems like a good time to get active.
