Better to watch shows like this first on your own. I had been watching other reactions that don't require much thinking for a long time and got a little pissed at Lupa popping off the whole time. As someone who will watch 90% of anime in sub, I've watched the first episode in sub and dub now because of their reactions, and I vastly prefer the dub. The localization and translation is very good and feels natural, and when I watched with subs, I didn't feel like I was missing anything by watching the dub, in fact I think the English script is superior to the Japanese translation. I think some people get too caught up in the whole Seiyuu culture. I'd take an 8/10 English VA over a 10/10 Japanese VA, especially with dialogue heavy shows.

What’s real unfortunate is I can see the gang, Lupa especially (and deservedly) now being turned off the show a bit by some of these comments. It wouldn’t even be petty. I mean, they’ve been running this channel a long time and they have suitably thick skin as a result, but still, there’s only so much insinuations about intelligence and character (feigned as ‘constructive’ criticism) one can take from a fandom before it spoils the experience in question. By the end of the episode, the gang knew pretty much all they needed to know going forward. Their misconceptions were corrected in time as they kept watching, but besides that, half the point of watching shows like this is to form your own theories and, yes, make your own jokes and observations and shit sometimes. By the end of this episode, I could tell they were all (Lupa especially) hooked on the show, and whatever people feel they missed or misunderstood would have undoubtedly been addressed as they kept watching. What’s crazy is there are SO FEW reactions to Pluto already, and a good chunk of them are ass in comparison to these guys (they are the goats). Y’all ruining a good thing with your nitpicking man. Hope the trio don’t let the vocal minority tarnish their enthusiasm for the show.

You really should react to MONSTER, it's an older anime from the same author. It's fantastic, a classic basically. It's a psychological thriller, mystery, crime.. but without any supernational, fantastical elements. I've been recommending it for a while but I gave up hahah.. Glad to see some people using this reaction to recommend MONSTER!

It's because of the show they are watching. If it's mindless shonen anime most people don't care cause the dialogue isn't that deep. This show is definitely more on the intricate side so people want them to digest the dialogue more. So it comes off as jarring when he's constantly making the same barf jokes over emotional or heavy scenes. You can clearly see Roshi and Sheera trying to focus on some of the dialogue meanwhile Lupa is just laughing away by himself with all the jokes not knowing he should maybe tone it down for some of these scenes.

Agreed. People like to give the typical " It's there reaction" response but people just want them to understand what is going. Lupa is always lost comprehending what's going on because he can't stop with the jokes so Roshi and Sheera always have to explain to him what's going on. If Roshi and Sheera don't hyper focus through some of the jokes they could end up being lost as they have in the past for example RE: Zero. Nothing is more annoying when everyone misses something super vital to the plot and they all end up lost because of it.

I'm watching the show with y'all and I'm at 22:56 rn, and this thought popped up. At the scene where we see Mont Blanc after the war, it made me think, what if he is Pluto. After that war what if he was messed up in the head and is doing some revenge scheme to the humans who put the robots through that massacre. Maybe he found a way to transplant himself within another body and set up his old one first, so that suspicion would be turned away from him. He seemed to be a highly knowledgeable AI because he did single handedly stop terrorist without the use of force, as they mentioned in episode 1, and that would take very smart skills. Or I'm wrong and Pluto is Dr. Goji somehow.

Man I’m a sucker for Detective/mystery-thriller stories(Blade Runner + 2049, True Detective, The Batmam, Prisoners, Hateful 8, etc.) so I’ve been really enjoying this show so far I like the uniqueness of the world where robots aren’t treated like a sore spot in society like how it is in a lot of other futuristic stories. Here they’re legitimately given their props and seemingly equal standing in society and it reflects in how us,the audience, are able to connect to how the story portrays them. Seeing a robot thats as loved and revered as Mont Blanc struggle with war ptsd and trauma or like buddy last episode at the mansion. Really dope writing. Reminds me of Nier Automata a little and makes me want to check out other Urasawa works like Monster and 20thCB

There's a difference in reacting and just yapping. Two of them are reacting and one of them in yapping. People have complained about Sheera from time to time but she makes up for it by understanding the context and the intention of a show. Lupa often times doesn't pay attention and just makes noise and gets confused by things that should be obvious by just watching the show. People often bring up the argument that we want them to be just mute because we are annoyed by poorly timed jokes.
