Yeah the higher ups are really stuck in the past. And yeah I really hate how people just spoil stuff, like how is that even fun? They literally act like children when they spoil things. I read the manga so I knew what was coming, but it's way different reading the manga from the start then seeing it animated, than it is just getting spoiled on it when you never wanted to know until the episode comes out. Yes! And I think that's why Gojo tried so hard to keep Yuta and Yuji at the school; the world is literally changing right before their eyes yet they're still clinging to their old ideology. Geto should've been a wake up call for them that their way isn't working. At the end of the day it's just a bunch of old dudes sending kids to fix the world and possibly get killed in the process. People have been spoiling Jujutsu Kaisen on Instagram so unless I know a few things that would've blew my mind if I didn't. I couldn't even get in my feels with Nanami and Norbara because people spoiled it and even posted the manga wayy before anything happened in the anime.

FACTS! Geto was ultimately trying to save Jujutsu society, but just went about it a really wrong way (the only way he thought would actually work). It's crazy cause I feel like the higher ups could have actually done a lot of good if they actually prioritized the nation's safety. Oh for sure Gojo needs some type of punishment too. He let his friendship get in the way of doing what's right and if I'm not mistaken I believe Shoko was the one who did the autopsy on Geto so there's that as well. The only reason why they won't look into Gakuganji is because he's with them so if the higher-ups look into him then all of their shadiness comes to light as well. They're so focused on making sure Gojo and Yaga are out the way rather than righting the wrongs and holding them accountable. Just look at the whole Rikco situation; they already figured that there might be an interference so they already had another one prepared just in case (I think that's also what lead to Geto to turn; knowing that the higher-ups knew something was going to happen yet kept them in the dark).

Oooh great point about Gakuganji. They should've definitely looked into him more. I understand them going after Gojo since he did let Geto go the first time. Then him not disposing of Geto properly in JJK 0 is what allowed him to be controlled later. Gojo is very egocentric and careless, always has been. But I see more of your point about Yaga. I still Yaga should take some kind of responsibility, but then they should also do the same with Gakuganji. It's like the higher ups have a point, but for the wrong reason.

I agree however, knowing how shady the higher-ups are I think it's more than that. I agree that Yaga should've definitely been monitoring their health and he definitely gave them freedom to use their own judgment however, I think the main reason for them killing Yaga is to assert dominance; showing everyone what happens when you side with Gojo. I mean Mechamaru had been feeding Geto information for a while and helped him enter the school which caused people to be killed (I know he was using them too) yet Gakuganji wasn't punished for it despite being his teacher. Why? Because he's one of the higher-ups. Yes Mechamaru is dead but if their whole legit reason for killing Yaga is for him to take responsibility then they should've did it to Gakuganji too. There's documentation for Geto's death, there's witnesses (from both schools) as well as respectable Sorcerers who knows that it's Kenjaku that took over Geto's body, etc. Yet none of that mattered to them because it was just easier to say that Geto and Gojo teamed up. As much as I love Yuji, I understand why the higher-ups want him dead; Sukuna is dangerous but everything else nahh.

Gojo failed to dispose of Geto, resulting in Kenjaku stealing his body. Gojo failed to execute Yuji. Gojo blocked Megumi from Zenin Clan training resulting in Mahoraga being unleashed recklessly. Gojo was the inciting reason for the event and was the reason Jujutsu society was exposed because they all knew his name, along with the actual curses doing shit. Plus, Gojo has literally all 3 of his students die, but Sukuna has enough plot armor for the both of them. Bias aside, without Gojo unilaterally bullying to get his way on pure strength, none of those things would have happened.

I commented on why they wanted to execute Yaga on the comment right above this one, but as far as them wanting to execute Gojo, I think it's simply because Gojo's existence is what caused the appeared of stronger curses. They touched on that in an earlier of episode of this season when the granny and her sons were fighting Yuji and Megumi. Also, Gojo let Geto get away the first time. Then after Geto started the whole incident in JJK 0, even though Gojo did kill Geto, the higher-ups don't know that the "Geto" now is not actually Geto. They most likely assume that Gojo let him get away again because he was his friend. I'm a manga reader, so I'm going to stop there. I don't want to accidentally spoil anything. Can't wait for season 3!

I understand what you're saying. But we also have to take into consideration the entire Tengen incident and Geto killing all those people in the backstory episodes all happened under Principal Yaga. Yes Principal Yaga did not insight Geto to do that, but as a Principal of a school that trains sorcerers, Yaga should not have only been training them and educating them, but he should also be checking in on their physical and mental wellbeing. There's a reason the military and law enforcement have mandatory mental evaluations/therapy for those currently serving. You'd think he consider his sorcerers could break under the pressure of everything. It was obvious Geto needed help, but Yaga failed to see that. Again, not blaming Yaga entirely, but I think he could have had a better influence. Gojo also has a very rebellious personality and the higher ups probably see that as a result of Yaga's neglect in keeping his students in line. The higher ups were just looking at Yaga's stains on his track record. They most likely see all of this as a result of Yaga not fulfilling his obligations in keeping track of his students. It's unfortunate, but I still understand where they're coming from.

He can sympathize with the fact that Yuji was controlled by Sukuna, but that doesn't mean he can't also feel the obligation to keep the incident from happening again. Tbf, Sukuna would not have been able to level Shubuya like that if he didn't have Yuji's body. He killed so many people. I love Yuji, but I would hope for nothing less than the majority of the sorcerers at least understanding why the higher ups want Yuji executed. I can't say I would make any other choice. If Yuji couldn't stop Sukuna then, what makes anyone think he can stop him ever?

They wanted Gojo gone because he kept rocking the boat/trying to change things. The world was changing and it was shown from the type of curses showing up and so Gojo wanted to change things too but they refused out of pride. So rather than killing the elders, he focused on influencing the next generation. The elders didn't see a need in a "we got this handled" type of mentality (granted, Gojo was the main reason everything was "under control" and they're about to realize what a world without him is like). They chose to stay oblivious and hate the guy announcing the change and when it finally became a mess, they blamed the guy that kept bothering them about it. Like if a plumber told you there was a leak and you hate him for mentioning it and now your house is flooded and rather than admit you're wrong, you go "f that plumber" and blame him and press charges or a lawsuit for "malpractice." The principal has a death sentence because he was Geto and Gojo's teacher and rather than trying to keep them under reigns and a tight leash, he encouraged them to do what they felt or knew was right. Like when they were assigned to bring the girl to Tengen, he lowkey told them it was a trash thing to do and so they chose not to. If Toji wasn't involved, they would've gone against regulations right then and there. So he "encouraged" the rebellious "make the next generation stronger but also make their own decisions" mindset that they hate with Gojo. That's basically my long version of saying the elders are just petty with an unhealthy amount of hoe in their blood.

He was able to turn them into cursed objects and then picked modern people through out Japan to give them said "curse objects" without them knowing. Once he used "Idle Transfiguration" the very technique that manipulates soul, it then continued his pact made with the ancient sorcerers. Therefore, bringing the ancient sorcerers souls to surface within their specified vessels that were chosen by Kenjaku . Quite diabolical lol

The beauty of this anime and season finale is that no matter what happens next pseudo geto won. The upper society hated him, but he was so strong that they couldn't do anything about him, so as long as he did what they said, they let him do what he wanted (because they were scared of him). Now that he is imprisoned, they are doing everything they wanted to do before, without him being there to stop them. To me I figured they not only already wanted Gojo out of the picture but technically he could have ended the Shibuya incident if he were more ruthless. Rather than trying to save the civilians in the station he should have done whatever it took to kill the disaster curses and destroy the barriers. After he got sealed it was just fuckery for the rest of the night. It felt very disjointed in that everyone was fighting and that gets wrapped up so quick after exposition. Then we get cliff notes of the after math. What I got out of the expo on the pacts was this: Geto indeed has been plotting for millennia. He’s been making pacts with sorcerers and non-sorcerers (regular folk and curses). Them mfks big dead, and got churned into tasty cursed objects, which now a lot of people find themselves vessels for. Others have had their brain tweaked so they can use abilities bro finds unique (he wants a deeper understanding of cursed energy: a new age). Geto said that during his time experimenting all scenarios to create the best “shape” were promising, but never successful because they were limited by him and his ability. I’m guessing that the nullification of the pacts (kinda insane in and of itself that he found a workaround to PACTS) is part of his plan to make the ”chaos beyond my control” scenario reality.

He turned their remains into cursed objects and fed them to people of this current era, he strengthened those peoples bodies and put them to sleep so they can become vessels for the old sorcerers. What he did just now basically unsealed all those cursed objects so they can now take over those peoples bodies. There are a thousand of those. The 2nd group of people are all modern day people. They are all people capable of using cursed techniques but their brain prevents them from accessing that power. He adjusted their brain so they can now use those hidden cursed techniques that they couldnt use before. He did all this by using an enhanced Mahito attack across all of Japan, adjusting their souls. That is how he enhanced the bodies of the soon to be vessels and how he modified the brains of the others so they can unlock cursed techniques.

Cursed energy being as powerful as it is is rare and unique to Japan due to Tengen's barrier. I don't really know how that works. SPOILER FREE EXPLANATION: Essentially what "Geto" did was over the 1000 years he's roamed the earth he made contracts and deals with both sorcerers AND cursed spirits. These contracts were fully fulfilled after Geto absorbed and used Idle Transfiguration. Doing this turned a mass number of people into vessels, like Yuji. It either awaked their brain and allowed a person to use their technique or it turned a person into a VESSEL for a sorcerer from the PAST, making them like yuji/sukuna hence Geto's point about the "1000 itadori's going crazy". To counter Yuki's point about how "humanity isn't that simple and not everyone will use their new power" that's when Geto summons all the cursed spirits. NOTE I'm not completely sure on this but I BELIEVE that the cursed spirits are not from Neto's technique but the curses he's made contracts with over the time he's been alive.
