Even now people make comments towards my blank expression yet the way i talk to them they know everything comes from a good place

It's like he never learned what emotions are besides anger. It's part of what makes him endearing and not just an absolute psycho that we can't sympathize with. His father must have completely ignored him as a child, or worse.

Like if the acting class thing didn’t give it away theres also that he just doesn’t know how to handle emotions both his and others, has no real vision outside of his Sally dream, terrible balance of his life stuff, and also he kept repeating the same thing to Sally over and over with the “yeah you’re one of the best actresses I’ve ever seen” And Sally will eat that shit right up because she gets to put all her narcissistic tendencies onto Barry’s lack of identity. That being said as pushy as she is, she’s not like manipulative or anything. Just incredibly self obsessed
