So that leaves me to believe that since the father did kill the wife jung misuk he sent the tape to threaten the woman with the tape. I think I understand now.

But if you want to watch something dark then I’d suggest The Worst of Evil or something different and cool then I suggest Moving as the best for last. But Taxi Driver is definitely the next go to after Flower of Evil

2023-12-16 02:14:59 +0000 UTCRoshi! The woman was kidnapped and the witness gave her initial testimony in court about it but it didn't hold up since Hyeon-su provided the dad the alibi. Not long after that the dad passed and the village chief took the kids in, and only after the dads death was it found out that he was a serial killer (likely due to the police investigation on his death). Village chief did something to get killed, and since it was believed to be Hyeon-su, the whole investigation would have had to be reopened since his alibi could have been faked. Whoever the accomplice was would have threatened the witness to recant her testimony after hearing about the retrial on the news or something. Trials can take months to occur.

2023-12-16 01:31:19 +0000 UTCi actually stand corrected. wrote the previous comment while listening to their theories at the end and was reminded of something. the father was supposedly with the son on the night that the girl was kidnapped, as his son's testimony cleared him. meaning he was still alive and so was the village head as the kids go live with him until the father died.

So basically the witness knew for a fact that there was an accomplice because she was threatened after his death. So just to give a quick timeline the father dies, they start investigating him and the witness is giving her testimony against hyun soo, at this point hyun soo and his sister are being taken care off by the village chief, then the village chief dies and the witness receives the threat to stop talking so she withdraws her testimony. 2023-12-15 21:56:21 +0000 UTCThis is crazy, if the dude on the recording is threatening the woman then he mentioned the village head died in the in the recording meaning when the woman who had the tape witnessed the woman getting thrown in the truck, that means the murder of the village head had happened like after the woman who got kidnapped, so if the kids were with the village head after the father died, then the woman got kidnapped after all of that happened so it couldn’t be the father because the father died and the village head took the kids in so what happened first the father died, second the village head took them kids in, third the woman got kidnapped into the truck and the woman who has a tape witnessed it, so it wouldn’t make sense for the father to have kidnapped and buried the woman if he died already because that would have to mean this happened before the kids got taken in by the village head.
