Just my theory but maybe those were scenes from the original time line? like events leading into how they ended up time traveling in the first place. And maybe Kisaki's personality is switching just like Hinata said about takemitchy. Like the Kisaki who couldnt shoot takemitchy is probably the kid one and the one who shot Kaku at then end is future Kisaki. I also think Izana might able to time travel too otherwise how would he be remembering those events or are they just showing parallels?

I'm not really seeing the contradiction that much here. Kisaki didn't even get a kill shot he got Kaku's shoulder from behind looking pretty crazed. With Takemitchy he had a clear head shot staring dead in his face and buckled. Then again Takemitchy and Kisaki clearly have more of a relationship than others think.

But I understood it as Kisaki didn't shoot Takemichi because he was thrown off by him not being intimated and at the time he saw Takemichi as a hero (remember the flashback).
