He apologized for buying Fern the ring because he’s reasonably assuming that she’d be offended by him buying her an accessory with such deep meaning. Giving the presumption that they’d be eternal lovers or that they are already together. That’s definitely something you’d buy for your lover. Both of their feelings are still being cultivated. I’m sure if you asked Fern if she likes him, she’d vehemently protest. Violently, too. With how harsh she is with him, it makes sense. She ALSO didn’t know the meaning of the ring but still insulted him for it. Stark is slow on the uptake but once he gets it, he gets it entirely. He was all too correct about the situation. 😂💀

Also, horses on wagons had sturdy wooden braces on each side they were strapped to so that is what kept the horse in place in the air.

Basically, it means the Manga was SO good that people over hype an anime based on what it WILL be, and Not what it currently is. But, when an anime like FMA, or Code Geass, or Clannad, come out, release a S2, and ALL OF THE SUDDEN become top 10 animes of all-time, there is a VERY good reason for it. I have seen this no more than a handful of times in my life (I'm 30 now) and by NO means is it an occasion to take lightly. You're Basically shitting on a show BECAUSE it is blew up right away, and NOT stopping to think about why it's early success is justified. It DOESN'T happen all the time, and it IS a special occasion whenever it does happen for a new series. So stfu. Let people get hype, and stop thinking your opinion matters to people who don't even think YOU matter, my guy/gal. I think this is better than stuff like Mushokou Tensei ALREADY.

I always find it interesting even in a show like Invincible. Still though my man Himmel was in love and couldn't get the dub I hope that they don't show a flashback of him professing his love and gets rejected by Frieren that would crush me. Sidenote what roshi said wasn't too crazy if they were out there for a while hey we eating horse for dinner.

Like, loved to the point that he knew what each symbolized. Frieren may have just picked the ring just because it was there without knowing what the flowers on them meant, but HImmel knew what he was doing when he did what he did and took the opportunity without giving a second thought :') This show man. While it isn't uncommon for "show-don't-tell" stuff being used, it's the subtle usages of it in this show that gets me. Another example would be the sour grape spell.

2023-12-12 01:19:44 +0000 UTCThe whole show follows the theme of Frieren becoming more mindful of the people and events taking place around her, but this episode really drives it home. She never realised the significance of Himmel getting down on a knee in front of her, never realised his feelings for her, never really took much notice of her companions at all, simply because she never had to. The only other real companion she had was Flamme over 1000 years ago. To her, things just happen and time just passes, and it's never made sense to her to put thought into why or how because everything is constantly changing in the blink of an eye from her perspective. It's like how she was explaining how she never bothered to keep up with the mage certifications. Why bother putting effort into something when she'll just need to do it again every few decades? Why bother getting to know humans when they'll be in and out of her life quicker than she can (metaphorically) snap her fingers? But now that she's finally lost all of her old friends, and now that she's walking the exact same path she did 80 years ago, she's beginning to actually see the tangible impact that Himmel left on her. For once, she's realising that it's not just the world changing while she stays still, but that she's changing with it. Considering her age/race, she's probably only really just coming into her adulthood and beginning to see the world more thoughtfully (Sein and Heiter touched on it this episode).
