Also even though she wasn't aware that food taster saved herself I guess bullying actually came in handy this time. My whole thing is whoever is the culprit isn't that smart because from what I heard sounds like the minister passed out moments after ingesting. The food taster would've been the same so therefore pointless unless this was anime time lady lishu would've been good just bye-bye bully.

2023-12-07 01:42:22 +0000 UTCFrom what I understood, and to simplify: The little girl's food taster swapped her soup with the fish, because she was not aware of the danger of allergies, the little girl's food taster wanted to bully the little girl with the fish that she "doesn't like"/Allergic to. The Fish was supposed to be Pink-Haired girl's dish, and the poisoned soup was the little girl's dish, but since the little girl's food taster swapped it to make the little girl eat the fish, the poisoned soup was tasted by Maomao. So, someone wanted to poison the little girl but her food taster unknowingly saved herself by swapping the dishes so Maomao ended up tasting the poisoned soup that was meant for the little girl.

Apart from the reaction faces there isn't much in this show that would weird non-anime watchers out, and it's normal stuff anyone can understand.

If Lishu's lady in waiting hadn't swapped the food as a prank, the poisoned dish would have ended up in front of her. She basically did something fucked up and got rewarded for it, especially since MaoMao let her off easy. I think Roshi and Sheera were just thrown off by the Crimson dress thing thinking Lishu might be scheming, they just lacked information that'll become clear later.

First of all the silhouette at the end of episode 5 was not gyokuyou, it was Lishus food tester who has a similar hair style. Basically the next episode will explain how the dishes got swapped but the point they make in this episode was that Lishu was the target of the poisoning, not Gyokuyou. Lishus food tester knew she didnt like mackerel but she didnt know about the poison. As far as we know Gyokuyou isnt involved at all, the silhouette was just mixed up

2023-11-21 20:01:50 +0000 UTCLishu's wasnt poisoned, her ladies in waiting are bullying her for doing something shameful, They gave her the pink dress and then chose to where white instead to make her look bad, and one of them, the taster is who "poisoned" her (THATS who was guilty not someone else) just wanted to bully her so she swapped hers for Gyokuyos dish with mackerel. But these people dont really have a great understanding of allergies yet and they just assumed she "didnt like" Mackerel so it would be fun to make her eat it, Maomao explained its more than that and could at times be basically the same as poison (Even if that wasnt the intention which it wasnt in this case). Gyokuyo WAS genuinely almost poisoned by a third party though.
