But I will say I think even if all of them were at full health Toji still would have gone after Megumi first. Gojo already said that Megumi has the potential to be as strong as him and his potential is enough for Sukuna to take notice of him as well. On top of that Megumi has already beat a special grade curse on his own. He also has a (incomplete) Domain Expansion. Domain Expansions are considered the pinnacle of Jujutsu sorcery and even Nanami and Naobito can not do a DE.

Some people found out that in an earlier Gege Akutami one-shot manga (it's called "No.9"), the protagonist used invisible boxes to cast spells and magic items out of it. FYI, Sukuna's fingers aren't a good indicator of power level or whatever, because all they do is measure Cursed Energy, which is pretty much irrelevant when compared to skill, experience, and ingenuity. Sukuna's fighting strength is way higher than what "15 fingers" would lead you to believe. Another example would be the fact that Jogo and Hanami both had more cursed energy than Gojo, but his CT and control was so much better than theirs.

After this ep it should be pretty clear that Toji did care for Megumi the reason he sold Megumi to the Zenin clan is because as he said he believed his son would be better off being part of the clan he believed Megumi would be able to climb his way up the ranks in the clan he separated himself from him because he knew he would not be able to be a good father being an assassin and jumping from women to women he was not able to be the father he should be. And in the end after he found out that he wasn't sold to the Zenin and kept his mom's last name (confirming that Gojo took him in instead) he took his own life before he became a puppet again and killed his own son. He was a distant but caring father. RIP The true GOAT of JJK.

i read the manga but for some reason anime toji recognizing megumi made it more emotional for me 😭

Something that might have also tipped Toji off is that Megumi’s trap was to make Toji trip by making him fall into a shadow which would confirm that he was using the 10 Shadow Technique and not some other animal/creature summoning technique. Also in Toji’s flashback which sadly was not drawn clearly, Toji was talking Naobito the Zenin Clan head and the Frame Technique guy who just got cooked. I assume he was offering 10 million Yen for Megumi with the 10 Shadow and it was his wife/baby mama’s voice who he heard. This scene make me think about to what lengths the Zenin would have gone to get Megumi if anyone other than Gojo had taken him.

For better understanding of the animation. It was MISO who directed this episode you would know him from Mob Psycho 100. Along with the best of the best in the industry. That's why the art style changed. A lot of reactors have been saying the animation is lacking but its quite the contrary. To facilitate his vision the director changes the style to allow for the best of fluid motion hence the drawings can't be like before. In summary its an artistic choice and not a flaw or collapse of the production. This is by far the best fight sequence (not choreography wise) in the Anime thus far. A lot of people praised it and its a huge contender for episode of the year. 10/10

Some things I noticed this episodes and a little analysis on Jogo: Jogo’s “I knew he was stronger, but I didn’t know it was by such an extent” is the exact same thing Jogo thought mid-fight with Gojo. Gojo tells, “You’re weak” because Gojo is referencing himself to Jogo, On the other side Sukuna responds with “You’re strong” because Sukuna is putting Jogo on a world scale for “strong” in comparing Jogo Sukuna’s “You lacked the hunger to take hold of your desires” and “You should’ve burned everything to ash to reach Satoru Gojo” speech to Jogo is interesting because when we 1st meet Jogo, Jogo was extremely aggressive and even sought out Gojo himself. After having the difference thrown in his face, he lost confidence which is apparent as Sukuna mocks Jogo with the “Why not use your domain? Because you lost to Gojo?” and Jogo can’t respond because he knows deep down he can’t win Jogo had that hunger at 1st but lost it when the pinnacle was thrown in his face, making Jogo abandon his “hunger” Jogo had lost his confidence in himself for the most part and desire and aggression in support for his goals and for the other curses, hearing the “King of Curses” call him strong compared to others must’ve been insane relief to his wounded pride HOWEVER, there is one curse left that still has the HUNGER: MAHITO MAHITO HAS NO PROBLEMS PLACING HIS DESIRES OVER THE GOALS OF OTHERS (CHOOSING FOR THE THRILL OF KILLING ITADORI>REVIVING SUKUNA SO CURSES CAN PROSPER) Jogo’s Ideology of curses: Being the negative, “hidden” feelings, or true feelings that humans have towards objects/people make curses beings born from true emotions make them the true side of humans. They only seek the truth and will do anything in search of their goals towards it Mahito’s ideology of curses are: Killing, Deciving, and Tricking are a curses basic instincts and despite gaining consciousness and reason it is still right for them to continue to follow their natural instincts Mahito’s Ideology influenced by his source: negative emotion from humans (being the embodiment of the worst of humans) and Jogo’s ideology (being the embodiment of fear towards an object) also influence their way of thinking Gojo told Megumi that “greed” was necessary for a sorcerer to grow stronger and Sukuna told Jogo that “greed/hunger” was necessary for a curse to grow stronger (Different words used but same meaning) I think Jogo propped up Mahito as their leader partly because deep down, Jogo knows Mahito has what he lacks, “That hunger” to do what he wants, when he wants, how he wants. Even if it means favoring his impulses and desires over his goals, Mahito’s gonna do it because he wants to and have fun doing it. He’s sadistic, takes the most entertaining route, and doesn’t think twice about ruthless acts. After all, Mahito’s personality is the most similar to Sukuna’s. Jogo: The most underrated character in JJK in my opinion

The hand symbols in the manga weren't entirely Sukuna. If you re-read chapter 116 the first two panels are Sukuna's hands. The second two panels are Jogo's hands. The fan animation changed it, so technically the anime was more true to the manga.

It feels cheap, looks rushed, and DESPITE how good it actually is, it just feels lacking in comparison to the previous episodes (which also contained parts that felt rushed or just cheaper than usual). I wouldn't call this show or it's animation "Garbage" , but I can see that as hyperbole for the animation quality taking dips here and there. It's normally SO good and crispy that the short cuts stand out like crazy if you're closely paying attention. Stop attacking people who have different takes than you, you friggin pigs.

The parallel between Sukuna giving props and referring to Jogo to be proud because he is strong vs Gojo mocking him and calling him weak is so good. Especially when you take into account him mentioning Jogo should have burned everything until he reached Gojo heights (basically saying his heights were unattainable).
