2023-10-03 06:24:16 +0000 UTCIt’s kind of aggravating at first glance how she was acting but looking at it from a different angle, she basically wants Baki to fight for her. She wanted to get a reaction from Baki when she was saying “what would you do if I got married?”. The thing is , she’s not getting the reaction she wants from him as Baki is all like “I don’t control you” and “if I’m not good enough” which is 100% true and correct morally. But IMO Kozue just wants Baki to “fight for her” and shes not getting that response causing her to keep pushing the limit to where he would fight.

He's the type that believes in people being able to make choices based on what they think and not what others think. He doesn't want to outright tell Kozue that she can't see other men but he obviously doesn't want her to make that choice either. Also imo the reason why Kozue is going through all this is because she wants to know if Baki truly prioritizes their relationship because Kozue literally saw Baki fight for his life while being poisoned and even though she was a big motivator for him trying to get better she wants to know if he's willing to fight like that for their relationship so again Baki giving her that freedom made her question if he wants to fight for her or not and if that's the case she might start to think he doesn't care enough to fight for her. Either way it really is just a big miscommunication from both ends.

Baki giving her the freedom to choose did have her contemplating the relationship because she probably has a different view of what it means to be in a relationship compared to Baki. It's ridiculous but she's basically trying to see how far Baki would go for her.
