When Franklin was shot(multiple times) it was “alright time to get back to work” but when it’s her now suddenly “we’re so scared of this drug game😱🥺 we need to things our way” as if that can’t lead to same outcomes. Their problem like majority of the audience is that they projected their shortcomings and problems onto Franklin when they all had a part to play and made bad decisions as well. No accountability. C. With Leon, yeah I don’t agree with leveraging deeds you do for others for your own favor but at the same time after how Leon acted and what he said, Franklin had EVERY right to leave him out to dry so I don’t feel bad about him pressing Leon on it. After all he came back around the projects with Jerome putting on a big show about taking care of Fatback ppl, that just out the window now bc he got soft? Also I don’t think Reed was pissed at Franklin for drawing the gun on him, I had always interpreted his look as “You think I won’t?” After Franklin challenged him on killing his own family bc he truly doesn’t know the things Teddy is capable of.

Cissy's decision was her way of trying to make everything go back to normal; her and Alton together and staying out of Frank's hair, and Frank being able to do business as usual. Alton held crucial information on Teddy, there was absolutely no way he would let that go unchecked. What if Alton felt like he wanted to contest again? Cissy was not okay Teddy killing Alton, hence her decision to go to Cuba with him.

I was invested in the journanlist trying to explose the drug trade. I felt that was a nice look of the kind of risk to themselves journalists have to take to expose people. Scully and Manboy having to come together because of the dead kid was an interesting dynamic for me. And I like how people handle their beef. Especially the Jerome killing Kadeja scene while Leon just wants ppiece. Letting each character have their own way in how they wanted to resolve shit. The only thing I didnt really care for was manboy trying to get the plug and the girlfriend. Im not really interested in Teddy dealing with people that arent Franklin in the neighberhood. So then constantly going back to it just bored me.

She truly ever look out for him and now he had to let her go with his absentee father. Probably the biggest loss from getting in the drug trade . Didnt mind Franklin telling Leon he has to stay with him. After the insane choices he made to save against everyone advice Leon owe him that much. I like that Teddy followed the logical path of his character. There was no way he was ever gonna "Forgive and forget" after Alton fucked him up like that. He got his brother killed and he fucked his relation to Julia for this job and Alton think gets to just out him and walk away? He aint that nice.

If you notice when Alton knocked him out and when he gets up he walking around pacing perfectly fine & his fight with Jerome. He was using the cane to appear weaker to draw out distrust. You don’t go from limping and needing a cane for support to putting it down and walking perfectly fine.

This was a flaw that completely fucks him up mentally throughout the story. Actually this is a reoccurring theme as well. If Franklin chose to completely cut his family out of this he would have been better off. If Franklin chose to give up the drug business and hand it to Louie at the beginning of the season he would have been fine 2. Franklin throughout the seasons has been about his money, he could have realistically gotten out the drug business at the end of the season when Louie offered to buy his product, but once again Franklins ego ruins it. 3. Ironically enough Franklin and Louie are very similar (which is why naturally she took over when he was recovering), they both are in it for the money and power. People seems to overlook how corrupt Louie is in this shit, basically refusing Jerome’s offer to take the riches they have and enjoy life. She also fucked over her family in Little Rock. 4. The scene with Mel and Franklin really gave off the evil/devil vibes that Franklin basically has fallen completely into the dark side. 5. Kinda touching on ego again. Franklin tends to compare himself to others and their actions, completely ignoring his own responsibility. He thinks his family and friends are making dumb decisions because of his superiority complex. 6. Louie was right the whole time they should have killed Manboy. 7. Alton deserved it 8. Teddy has basically given in to becoming a villain as well. At this point he was already irredeemable.

I can see Jerome being the type to just stay in his lane and be contempt with what he gets but I see Louie as someone who wants more than they already have and that can be both good and bad for business.

However, that's only if Cissy plans on coming back to the states and deal with all that bullshit again. Remember, Cissy is just as tired as everyone with the violence and drugs, even if she didn't feel as morally responsible as Alton. I can't see the play of her going with Alton all the way to Cuba just to set him up and then stay in Cuba by herself. Or, hell, maybe I'm wrong and she just wants to start a new life for herself. But I would be very surprised because despite everything, it's been made very clear that she loves Alton, despite everything. Even the ruthless Franklin Saint wasn't about to just let Alton die.
