There were only two others besides Riko, as depicted in the manga and shown in the show. Each time it has been a Woman. Why? Because Tengen is a woman and all she's doing is resetting her body's age. She uses their body's information to reset her own, at the consequence of the Vessel's life. That why the Star Plasma Vessel is always a young girl. And that's all I'll say without bringing up spoilers.

The path to killing non-sorcerers is short and has an exit, whereas the path where he reconciled with his role properly is long with no end in sight. It’s subtle, but it basically signifies how much inner work Geto would have needed to do to keep being a sorcerer whereas becoming a cursed user was essentially presented as an “easy path”.

For the most part he doesn't even have to worry about healing any major damage as limitless neutral takes care of that. Even if you get lucky and get past limitless and manage to do enough damage to be fatal once, he can heal it faster than you can damage him and then he puts limitless back up. It's like fighting an Elden ring or DS boss with an infinite barrier, and when you happen to kill them once their life bar goes back up as soon as it is damaged. Then you're back at square one. The only one that could probably even do just that would be Sukuna.

Their immortalty technique needs to be reset, because while they won't die naturally, users of the Immortality technique don't stop aging. Eventually they begin changing into a cursed spirit; that's the evolution they were trying to prevent and Tengen losing control. That's why it's always a girl that's selected as the Star Plasma Vessel.

All the problems in their world stems from the system that maintains the status quo and protecting the Jujutsu Higher Ups and the 3 major clans. The leadership has always been the problem which is what Getou and Gojo have been fighting against, albeit from two different angles. Gojo wants to change the system from within by educating a new generation of strong sorcerer's who want revolution. The higher ups are all easily weaker than Gojo and even he admits he could kill them all with no problem but also that it wouldn't solve the issue as they would just be replaced. The principle of Kyoto Jujutsu High is a good example of a scheming coward. Even his Cursed Technique is laughable weak if not hilarious in concept. Getou on the other hand wants to tear the entire system down by removing the purpose of the Jujutsu Society in the first place. I.e. the non-sorcerers. The higher ups need the money and resources that the non-sorcerer government gives them in exchange for protecting them from curses, all so that they can divey it out to government sorcerers under their control. Kill the humans and the economic power they bring to the higher ups is effectively shut off, freeing sorcerers from curses and the power structure they're under. I noticed that the Q group and the freelance mercenary sorcerers are essentially branded terrorists or fugitives which is why they have to resort to their current means of living. It's also highly probable that the Jujutsu Higher Ups have a monopoly on receiving payment for killing curses, so that shuts off any freelance work in that regard. So you have Gojo the Revolutionary and Getou the Anarchist. Honestly the setting of JJK is that of a corrupt society run by weak cowardly old men who'll do anything to keep themselves in power.

At least in the real world, school principals don't get to sentence their students to death "for the greater good" as he described it. I'm almost afraid to picture the kind of grief counselor that they'd have on staff. Not everyone is as untouchable, patient, and willing to break protocol as Gojo. That's not to say they shouldn't try, but I could definitely see them breaking confidentiality agreements or selling off the problematic students to the Zen'in clan.

Reversed cursed techniques use up twice as much cursed energy as regular ones so those with reversed cursed techniques like healing or reversed polarity of their normal technique are rare. Sorcerers produce more energy than non-sorcerers but they still have to take time to recover from the strain that over using their cursed energy does to their brain. Six eyes on the other hand allows the user to manipulate and perceive cursed energy on a atomic level so well and fine tuned that they barely uses any cursed energy as their usage is so efficient, wasting little to no CE. So at this point Gojo literally recovers cursed energy faster than he uses up which gives access to use as much reverse cursed technique healing as he wants. He's literally immortal save for destroying his brain entirely. Combined with infinity he's literally a perpetual motion machine by healing his brain faster than his cursed technique can damage it.

The only reason Gojo cannot be touched at all times is due to reverse cursed techniques repairing his brain whenever his limitless technique fries his brain. It still surprises me how powers works on this show. As a heads up, during the next arc you need to really pay attention on how powers work or you'll get lost

They made this episode a bit cutesy and had "weird" animation occasionally (I am sure) because the next 18 episodes will have animation that is barely comparable to anything we've seen. BUT yeah, it's not like this was not a beautiful episode regardless. And the animation was actually really decent most of the way through.

I actually quite liked parts of the episode (the narrative, color, and use of metaphors to be precise). The visuals are where I had problems, but only certain moments. That being said, I miss the animation style of S1, but I recognize how hard the animators are working. For the most part, it doesn't look bad... just different. I prefer consistency, so it'll be a while before I'm comfortable with the new director's interpretation of JJK. I'll admit that I'm harder on shows I have high expectations for, so that's on me, but I don't think all of my criticisms have been without merit. I appreciate being able to say my piece without getting chewed out, so thank you.

Of course, my issue isn't so much that I think it fits or doesn't fit. I just prefer consistency. If this were the style they used back in Season 1, I'd have had no problem with it in Season 2. This is a rather extreme (and unfair) comparison, but I'm reminded of when "Batman: The Animated Series" changed to "The New Batman Adventures" and they revamped all the character designs. Another example would be when the D.Gray-Man anime returned as D.Gray-Man Hallow. When I'm familiar with an animation style, I struggle to adjust when they make big changes to how the show appears (unless it's a different continuity, like FMA vs. FMAB).

Removing the existence of cursed spirits through euthanization and forced evolution to avoid more of the causalities. The constant battle against cursed spirits takes lives all across the board. That's how schooling/education started too. The amount of energy spent offing people for eternity cause they will always be born which brings me back to another point I said which is "Over time, less work and more sorcerers" The great thing about humans is that they will pass on teachings whether for good or bad reasons. And the telling of society thing which I already covered doesnt matter in the long run since sorcerers can produce non-sorcerers so ALL humans will end up knowing in his world. Not everyone is going to be okay with killing their offspring after 4-6 years so it will still end in disaster meaning surviving humans and sorcerers holding a grudge will fight back. In his world, ALL humans are sorcerers enemies as opposed to just some. Unless he has a way to control or stop sorcerers from producing non-sorcerers, it's a way worst world. Tbh, my opinion is that they should just stay the way it is and he should just quit and forget about helping and move on lol unless he has infinite tsukuyomi or something

2023-08-04 02:11:47 +0000 UTCIncase y'all don't know CSM and JJK share the same team of animators at Mappa back when CSM was airing around ep 9 Mappa had to split the team so that they could start working on JJK (this is why the last few eps of CSM are not as good as the first few in terms of animation) this means that Mappa had 8 months to work on JJK this is not enough time for this series and to top this all off Shibuya is literally 80% fights and 20% dialogue this is the reason behind the 3 week break the terrible schedule can also be linked to the simpler character designs Mappa needs every day they can get in order to deliver there are a lot of eyes on this series and the expectations are high I personally like that they are not half assing it and taking there time I am sure it is going to be worth it.

He also makes the Tokyo and Kyoto students play baseball instead of having them fight one another. This is all to reinforce stronger bonds between students so that they can support each other in ways Geto needed but didn't have.

If the population was culled, it’d be much easier to teach the children born without control of their curse energy how to do it… y’know, as long as they don’t go the path of the Zen’in clan and mistreat their children born without. Of course, Geto was too far gone to realistically have those kinds of thoughts. He just wanted to kill the monkeys that were threatening his comrades. Also, telling society as a whole about curses and all that will only ever end in disaster. The surge of fear and panic that information would bring is guaranteed to cause a curse explosion, which will feed into the public’s fears and hate, causing a negative feedback loop that would give birth to some of the most horrific special grade curses ever seen. They’d probably give Sukuna a run for his money.

That mission with Toji really affected the lives of both Gojo and Geto, and ultimately tore their friendship apart. 😣 I honestly think the stuff with Geto could’ve been avoided had he had someone to talk to. The image of those assholes clapping kept replaying in his head and fucked him up because he didn’t have the proper outlet to let out his feelings since Gojo started going on solo missions. And I think Gojo picked up on that because from what I remember from JJK 0 and season one, Gojo have Yuta, Yuji, and Megumi the proper outlet to talk about things that were eating them up. Gojo’s backstory is so good, but so sad because of what happened with Geto. Like damn… 😣💔 I can’t wait for the Shibuya arc in three weeks! It’s finally getting animated and I’m so excited!

Special Grade sorcerers are so powerful that they're given a high salary to stay loyal to the government, so Yuki Tsukumo (The Special Grade sorcerer who spoke to Geto) just fucks off around the world and never does missions. The government can't even say anything since she's strong so they just keep paying her.
