The loyal dude from the beginning of the episode must have actually died, the one that took the first blow from the pig monster, he said "Become the Ruler one day, I believe in you," then stepped in-front of the monster and got blown to the side. The new girl/princess was saying that she is fine with just having tea parties and not try to become a part of the power struggle to become a ruler, but now she says she will become the next ruler with conviction, which is what the dude that gave up his life asked for before he took the pig monster's blow. So the princess cares about her subordinats a lot, which is cool, will be very interesting seeing Sylphie's journey and hoping she meets Rudy again soon. Also the Sylphie blowing that assassin out the window seemed weird because I think Sylphie was holding back until then, but she was forced to use lethal force because the assassin was that strong. So she was like "alright I will be killing a person today," her first kill, then blows the assassin out the window.

Assuming they keep the same pace as they did in s1, the first half of this (1-12) will be less action packed than we're used to, tho I think the first 3 eps will have quite a bit of it. You are correct, technically she went beyond mana exhaustion(hair change is usually not permanent but they didnt go into this in the anime) but she used magic instantly after draining all her mana when she hit the boar.
