2023-06-01 21:23:37 +0000 UTCHonestly considering that the old baki is 50+ episodes or smth like that I think it was a good decision to watch the recap, I watched the og baki before watching the netflix one and I enjoyed it yes and it was kinda worth but at the same time it wasnt because it had quite a lot of episodes I didnt enjoy at all. It was kinda tedious because I wanted the new baki that made me wanna watch it to begin with (memes, trailers etc. just seeing it in social media) and it kinda ruined the experience for me a bit that I have to go through the old anime adaption. Its like the first half of jojos part 3 it's just idk... tedious while u also kinda need that journey to appreaciate the part 3 finale of jojos you dont need it as much for baki (sure it does make a difference but not as much) so I think a recap is sufficient.

The pseudo-science explanations are interesting too, like what they say might be theoretically possible, just not practical or realistic. Like the hand on the special glass, he created a "vacuum" by tightly pressing against the glass and pulling away insanely fast, his hand was like the plastic suction cups you attach the GPS to on the car windshield, but a lot more powerful, so his hand's suction effect made the glass break off and continue being attached/suctioned into his hand, and made a hole like that; Fun to think about, haha.

I agree watching the OG series would make anyone appreciate the Netflix series even more but at the end of the day if they don't want to watch it it's ok.
