The moment she found out what Geunsoo's family had done to Sayori she's been nothing but awful towards him and wanted him away from Dunbam. That's why Sayori bugged out on her when she was pushing so hard to make Geunsoo quit cause of the whole building situation. Her telling him to be the company ceo was just another way of getting rid of him. Yiseo is not completely innocent in Geunsoo's behavior. She's done nothing but treat him like shit then acts surprised when he finally snaps and pushes back.

She likes sayori a lot and refuses to do simply measures to keep him safe or to help him with his goals. She just sat there on a pedestal waiting for him to save her like she was a damsel in distress, when she could easily have quit her job to work with the man she clearly likes and admires. Like her working at the other company which in a way is justified cause sayori told her it’s ok. It’s still not though she’s working for the man who killed his father and is still waiting for a him to “save” her from a asinine situation she quite literally agreed too. ATP it’s like if I was sayori I would have cut her off after she visited me in the jail. Now she waited how many plus years for this man to “save” her, what if he ended up not liking her anymore she would have been like “you promised” that’s mad embarrassing I’m sorry Lmfao.💀💀

However, the show does an excellent job in moments when Yiseo says I love you to Seroyi. They add cute funny music to the scene and showcase Seoryi's bewildered face. The point is that it's supposed to be a gag. You shouldn't take it too seriously. I mean look at shows like Family Guy. It's a GAG Show. Bad situations happen and people say horrible things that wouldn't get said in real life, and make jokes out of them.

Alex Lee, the new character they introduced, who was an asian man that was acting "too black". I wasn't offended, because it was funny, but a lot of people petitioned to cancel the show. What was a funny response, was they hilariously "whitewashed" Alex Lee, so he acted like a boring white man.

I feel that this is one of those things that are very south korean, in the US you might have bad acting from time to time but few people would make a big deal about it, but in Korea any time there's even a little questionable acting in "x" scene people tend to be very vocal and harsh about it, or at least that's what I've seen in K-dramas and movies

2023-05-10 01:09:05 +0000 UTCI think one major misconception about the whole Yi-seo/Geun-soo dynamic is that “she led him on just to troll him”, when nothing she backtracked on was way down the line after any of his decisions. Literally like twenty seconds after the original comment is when she clarified and said she was just talking shit. Geun-soo ignoring that and trying to be her white knight so she’d see him differently is entirely a him problem. Idk, I just feel weird about the implications that anyone belongs to someone else, and so many of these characters are accepted to have one-sided or otherwise unchangeable feelings but Yi-seo is just supposed to settle for a guy she’s never liked and never claimed to like. (This does not take into account the pretty huge age gap which I have always thought was weird and unnecessary. Why couldn’t the younger characters just be college age undergrads from the beginning.)

Despite lacking as a business man, Geunwon did his job as a son by taking care of his dad (getting him health checkups,etc) and was sincerely concerned about his sickness because he grew up having a relationship with him. Whereas Geunsoo grew up being practically ignored by his father and faced emotional/physical abuse by the family for years so his priority is solely on the business and not filial duties. Also another fun fact, in the flashback of Chairman’s Jang childhood, the other boy who was there was Kang Bohyeon (Ms.Kang’s father) the two of them founded jangga together so that’s why ms kang doesn’t want to leave jangga despite being sent away.
