I would argue that this was literally the first episode where she has genuinely put herself out there and took some risk (granted, already after she 100% knew she'd get the yes, but still it was needed).

If you want more romance, if you're fine with reading manga, Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku is fantastic (no official translations yet, but there are some great scanlations out there) and Dandadan is also hilarious (weird as hell, but still hilarious) but if you want anime only try Spice and Wolf (slower than Kaguya, but similar level of romance), Komi can't Communicate (wholesome), Call of the Night (very chill, is technically vampire romance but it's not cringe), or My Level-999 Love for Yamada-Kun (currently airing right now), they're all great series

I am looking forward to kaguya and president being a side couple and ishigami being the main character for a while. Nice change of pace

I think it's technically a slice-of-life, but Horimiya is another good series. The Duke of Death and His Maid is pretty great too, but a lot of people are unwilling to look past the anime's lackluster CGI visuals. At the moment, those are my top 3. I'm hoping to branch out into other rom-coms, as I'm going through Kaguya-sama withdrawal, so if anyone has suggestions, I'd appreciate it. 🙏

But yeah, next season we will see what happened at the other party, which honestly I find more interesting than Kaguya and Shirogane's story. The side crew will def have plenty of time to shine in the next season and its for the better that they knocked out this part of the story so it did not undercut theirs.
