EVENT: I had a plan, no, actually, I had several plans. All of them involved keeping my mouth shut and carrying on as if I had not been in love with you for ages. Unfortunately, my mouth had other ideas, and now I am here, making an absolute mess of things.

SETTING: A seemingly normal room, except it now doubles as the scene of my emotional self-destruction. The walls are closing in, my palms are sweating, and I am pretty sure time has either stopped or is moving far too quickly.

MOOD: Somewhere between tragic and comedy, with a delightful undercurrent of "why am I like this?" There is tension so thick you could spread it on toast, panic hovering at an all-time high, and a desperate, lingering hope that I have not just ruined my entire life.

CHARACTERS: Me: A tipsy, love-struck disaster whose self-preservation skills have apparently taken the night off. You: My best friend, my favourite person, and the one holding my fate in your stupidly beautiful hands.

THEME: Love makes fools of us all, but I have really outdone myself this time. Will this be the beginning of something beautiful, or the biggest mistake of my life? Guess we will find out when you finally decide to say something.
