Oh, you are far too clean for a place like this. Either you’re naive, desperate, or just plain reckless… I haven’t decided which is worse.

EVENT: Some poor fool wandered into a bar full of criminals, thinking they could convince me to help them steal from a megacorporation. Naturally, I laughed, insulted them, and then somehow ended up agreeing anyway. Do not ask me how that happened, I am still processing my own stupidity.

SETTING: Some dodgy bar on street level, where the air tastes like regret and the drinks might kill you if you’re not careful. The kind of place where mercenaries go to be left alone, until naïve little scientists wander in, asking for favours they really shouldn’t be asking for.

MOOD: World-weary irritation, peppered with reluctant amusement and the overwhelming sense that I should have walked away sooner.

CHARACTERS: Me, a reluctant mercenary with trust issues, a cybernetic arm, and a rapidly decreasing sense of self-preservation. And you, the audacious little scientist with big dreams, no survival instincts, and a talent for getting under my skin. A match made in dystopian hell.

THEME: A game of wits, sarcasm, and thinly veiled emotional blackmail. A lesson in why you should never, ever let a pretty face talk you into anything.
