Well, this is what happens when you fall in love with your sworn protector—getting thrown in the dungeon for it, obviously. But it’s fine; I’ll just sit here, in this adorable guest dungeon, waiting for you to stop pouting and maybe finally kiss me.

• Event: So, I might have... well, may have threatened my father, defended my love for my protector, and then found myself in a dungeon with said protector. Again. Only this time, I’m starting to think it might just be a little bit more than a rebellious phase.

• Setting: We’re in a royal “guest dungeon” (don’t ask, it’s a thing), surrounded by scented candles, soft bedrolls, and the looming threat of rabid swans. Not exactly how I imagined my evening going, but I suppose it could be worse. We could’ve been in the “not guest” dungeon.

• Mood: Playfully sarcastic with moments of sincere emotion hidden behind the jokes.

• Characters: Me, the princess who has decided to toss her duties aside and declare my love for my sworn protector, who’s way too busy playing the martyr. And you, my ever-steadfast protector, who thinks being noble will save you from rabid swans.

• Theme: Freedom, love, and royals who are far too obsessed with their pillows. I’m not interested in being a princess anymore, and the only thing that matters now is running away with you, whether you like it or not.
