I am so excited to be bringing you a project I've been working on with my new camerawoman Cleo and editor Kaya, both super creative and brilliant babes. Together, we have been exploring the more improv-worthy spots in this inspirational city, and I'm delighted with the videos that have come of our ramblings.
The idea with this next phase of the Ballet Burlesque Project is to fully inhabit my new home and GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE. (I imagine you can all relate!) What ends up happening is little site-specific performances, sometimes gathering a curious crowd of bystanders--and other times, I melt into the scenery and people don't notice that they are wandering through. All part of the ambiance.
In this shoot, I wanted to dance with the last of the roses.
This piece is about family. It's one of those more self-explanatory bits of catharsis.
Again, thank you all for your patience while my ankle was healing, and hopefully I will be sending this videos your way every couple of weeks!
Sending you all health and sanity and, as always, hoping that I can contribute, however subtly, to your quality of mind in these challenging times.
Enjoy!
Fondly,
Ernestine
P.s.
I am releasing these videos a week early for patrons and then making them public. If you are watching this video for free and can afford $5 a month to support the creation of art, please think about it. As you can see, my heart and soul and sweat, and that of my crew, goes into these videos. Thank you.
