Added 2025-05-30 11:00:11 +0000 UTCpatrons, we're back with part 4 of our book club series on Giovanni Boccaccio's The Decameron. we're on Day 3 and the topic is stories about people who finally obtain a long sought after prize or have lost something precious and then recover it. as is Boccaccio's wont, this predictably turns into stories about incompetent clerics and extremely horny Italians. this day also has 2 noteworthy stories: story 9 is the basis for Shakespeare's All's Well That Ends Well and story 10 has been considered so sexually explicit that some translators refused to include it in their editions. enjoy!
