Ep 168 - Saints of the Middle Ages

patrons, here is the ad-free version of this week's regular episode. this time, we answered questions from Bavarian Bard and Feckless Exxer

folks, we're back and it's time to talk about saints. tho we have often touched on the lives of various saints, we've never really talked through the whole process of canonization and how it changed quite drastically during the Middle Ages as the Catholic Church began to consolidate and centralize its power in Europe. we also talk about the types of miracles needed to become a saint and how those are investigated. finally, we take a look at a few of the more popular Medieval saints: St. Louis, St. Francis of Assisi, St. Afra of Augsburg, and the martyred saints of Cordoba. enjoy!

Or maybe you’re looking forward to Kathy Hochul 2028? Kathy Hochul can do real-estate corruption with the best of the Republicans, making her the obvious choice for the Democratic nomination. (Never mind that she has precisely zero known personality.)

I don’t understand in the least why you’re not excited that we’re already well into the second year of campaigning for #Kamala2028.

How about the Fifth [Column] International?
