Added 2022-10-07 13:19:13 +0000 UTCWe're back with part 4 of our book club series on The Simarillion. this time, we discuss chapter 13-18 of the Quenta Silmarillion, which includes the death of Feanor, the geography of Beleriand, the first seeds of the fall of Gondolin, the first meeting between elves and men, and the death of Fingolfin. it's very exciting!
attached are 2 maps to help with understanding the geography and realms of Beleriand. one is a map that shows the leaders of each separate area after the Noldor arrived and the second is a more detailed map of the whole of Beleriand so you can get a flavor for what's going on. please note that the reason you don't see Beleriand on any LotR maps is because it will be almost totally subsumed under the seas at the end of the Quenta Silmarillion.
