The recent voting polls featured an option to dress Elayne in an outfit - and most patrons voted to see her in a Wedding Dress. These flowers look pretty detailed, so I wonder if I'll try to clean them up a bit - though I think interesting details like this can help elevate my otherwise simple art style.
I don't typically show works-in-progress, because it doesn't usually feel like "good content" to me, but I don't think I necessarily need to think that way. Plus, it's a good way to keep you informed of what's going on while also giving me opportunities to just talk (a rarity in recent years on Patreon).
Although I worry about speed, I guess I don't need to feel pressured to work so hard all the time by adhering to this strict regiment of producing X amount of artworks within Y time period and then only uploading those higher quality finished artworks.

Recent problems with Patreon aside, I've felt pretty tired lately (though this has been obvious for a few years). I've also talked about feeling dispassionate about art for at least a year too. I wonder if this is what getting old feels like...
It's often quite hard to create art & feel passionate about it these days. Especially when I have to balance that with providing value to hundreds of consumers and navigating the ecosystem made by social media & payment processors. I'm sure most people think about this on some level, but I have never quite understood this feeling as much as I do now, where simply drawing can feel a bit impossible sometimes. The act of creating feels so different than it used to back when I was just a small artist on tumblr almost a decade ago.
Though I suspect I've also created a difficult & unsustainable process for myself, thinking back on just how often people would praise my insanely quick output and long working hours...
Anyway, that's it for now. How do you feel about getting more works-in-progress or posts that are dedicated to a single artwork, accompanied with a bit of text? We used to do that kinda thing but stopped once I pivoted toward frequently updating sketch collections.
Don't forget to eat & sleep.
