I haven't played it yet due to Saturn's current emulation status but Burning Rangers is definitely a game I wanna play by them, I'd love to see James cover it if he ever gets the opportunity to play the game.

TheNameIsX

What is the best cheese?

Nindota

hey james, if you had a nexus like in yume nikki, what worlds would be in it?

Bobert

James, have you ever shot on film before, stills or motion? Would you ever consider it, not for nitrorad obviously but maybe garanikor or a short film? Idk if Brady would have thoughts but if he does I'd love to hear them too

Quinlin Burke

Would you ever consider talking about the Sonic Adventure series?

Moralis

I’ve been thinking lately about the lost art of game rentals. Did any of you ever rent a console as a kid? I remember when I was 6, my family rented a PS1 for a weekend, with a few games, and that was a fun time.

Mr. Awesome

Have you heard of the Evercade? It’s a line of devices that plays cartridges created specifically for it and some of them include original indie games (both native and homebrew stuff). I have Indie Heroes 3 and I’ve been playing a lot of Donut Dodo (a native game similar to old arcade games like Donkey Kong) and Big2Small (a puzzle game for the Game Boy where you control 3 animals and try to get then to their respective food item)

BeeboSceebo

Is there an aesthetic/setting that automatically turns you off of a game a bit ex: steampunk, medieval, etc

luis torres

*panicking* uh. Umm...what's your favorite homestarrunner quote?!

Magic Myc

Will you ever do a wii 3d platformer marathon like with ps1 and n64? The amount of unique exclusives on it are astounding.

CrummyLion

hi! yall ever played any of sonic team's other games outside of sonic (and i guess billy hatcher, since james has covered it in the past)? e.g. nights, burning rangers, pso

hay

Hello! This is my first time on Patreon. I don’t know if this has been asked before, but what are your thoughts on digital vs physical games with indie games thriving, which are typically digital only.

LukasLuke

Other than Video Games, are there any other mediums for storytelling you find to be under-utilized or undervalued?

Evil Patron Guy

What's one of your favorite unused garanikor ideas?

N10A

Hey guys. How do you go about talking about games that are very standard and don’t stand out in any certain way. Are there any games that left a very middling impression on you where you struggle to come up with talking points?

Cameron

As someone who has been making his own 3D collect-a-thon platformer (#WishlistSlime64) for 5 years now as a passion project, if you could make your own 3D platformer, what would it be like? Could be a new entry of an existing series or something completely original.

WaveParadigm (Adam)

What food from games would you wanna eat?

Michael P.

uhh i'm cheating and gonna ask two questions (you can ignore one or the other). This was probably asked at some point, but any games or franchise you at first didn't really like, but turned around at a later point? I'm not counting the souls games here. Second one, any food dishes you've recently eaten for the first time and really enjoyed and have been making more of?

Serphus

Uhhhhhh, with all the retro throwback games on old consoles as of late (think the Rugrats NES game or the Grimace Gameboy game), what major IP would you want to see get its chance on an old console? I would want a 3D Metroid for N64.

Nate Baker

Hi guys, if you had to name 1 game that you personally feel DEFINES each console what would they be? (Like ex. NES - Mario 1, PS1 - Final Fantasy 7, etc and how exhibit the DNA/vibe of that system) [Also btw the last couple of the podcast episodes are missing from the playlist if you could add those, thanks]

Davidson Doliver

Can you guys give us 5 upcoming or already released indie games you guys are interested in and or playing? (James I forbid you from mentioning UFO 50 for this question)

NickieTheFool

Hey y’all! Hope you guys are doing well! Nitro Rad is by far my favorite gaming YT channel, I love how you focus on what makes a game special or interesting, and how you present that info. And y’all’s sense of humor, especially on Garanikor and the April fools specials :) Anyway, I have a question! I have never really tried playing horror games before because I don’t like being scared, but I’ve been playing the PS1 version of Doom with the intense, moody soundtrack and new lighting and I realized that I really enjoy that classic horror game atmosphere! I’m also interested in the gameplay of survival horror, the resource management and cautious exploration and all that, so I’m curious what you’d recommend to someone who loves horror game atmosphere and is interested in survival horror gameplay, but doesn’t want to be too freaked out (particularly by psychological horror)?

Katie

Hey James, Brady, and Sam! Did y'all watch EEK3 this year!? It's an indie horror showcase hosted by a skeleton that James would definitely enjoy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZVSJbgpMVw

TrampolineTales

Question for Brady: What video game collectable looked the most appetizing to you as a kid? Something you always just wanted to reach into the screen and take a bite out of. Personal example would be the time stones from Sonic CD looking like candy or the wumpa fruit from Crash appearing to be a juicy apple+mango hybrid

Leif Kadohata

What are your guys biggest fears? (Read me as UncreativeShadi last time in case last time it used my actual name.)

UncreativeShadi

Hello! Do you have any interest in JRPGS, as Japanese Horror Games are a big interest for you?

Eddie Buzzard

Greetings to you lot. A Question for the Horror conoisseur: any interest in Labyrinth of the Demon King? It Made andecent impression while I was at Gamescom. Have a nice Rest of your day!

Hamun Agah

Question for James, favorite bionicle set + bionicle era?

Lowke

Question for NitroRad: Will you ever review a Roblox Game? There is a large number of high-quality roblox games out there, just have to look for the right one. Just asking cause I make video essays on Roblox games and was kinda curious. Also, quick other question to throw out but what are yalls favorite video game character/characters?

Cooper

To James, Have you heard of Herdy Gerdy on the PS2? I ser it on the sherlf a lot as a kerd and nerver plerd der ferdy merdy terl fergidy bergidy. Zergidy Perigidy Nerdigy flerd? To Sam, did you end up trying out Breath of Fire Dragon Quarter out of curiosity? To Brady, Did you play Nick All-stars 2 or do you prefer one just because your boy, Hugh Neutron's there.

Bladebrent

What is your favorite weird food combo? I discovered I enjoy (VERY occasionally for my own health lmfao) PB&J Sandwiches with Bacon.

Local Smores Pop Tart

Between the PS5/Series X basically being made with PC hardware and Valve rumored to be making a SteamOS home console (essentially a beefier Deck for your TV), what do you think the console landscape will end up looking like five or ten years down the road?

MadmanEpic

What is the greatest trilogy? Movie, games, or books

KingOfAnime

Hey guys! I recently been playing through a mod for Sonic Frontiers called New Genesis, which completely overhauls the gameplay, ditching the boost for a dash move while adding in some actual momentum, and reworking the whole fighting system so you actually have to execute combos. It's completely changed how I view the game and I recommend it to anyone who felt disappointed in vanilla Frontiers but it got me to think, how do you guys feel about the mindset of games needing mods to be great? I see a lot of games that people say "oh you need mods a through z for it to be good" and I wonder if that's a good way of thinking about and analyzing a game as while most mods are works of love from fans, it alters the original creator's vision of their art and can influence how you see said art. I don't know, this is just how I'm thinking about it, what are y'all's thoughts?

TheNameIsX

pizza or burger?

Chris Reid

Question for James. With Blooper Team and Konami teaming up again for presumably a new SH game, do you think they should try making an original game or do another remake? And if you think they should remake a game, which one? Personally if they were to do another remake, I would hope its 4. It's the hardest for me to go back to.

Hailzfire

If you had to see one game get adapted into a different format like a movie, show, comic, etc. What game would that be?

Haru

Last minute questions a-go-go. What is your preferred ratio of gaming questions to non-gaming questions you get asked on this podcast? Do you prefer the weirder questions if they're non-gaming related?

Blupore

Are early pokemon games metroidvanias? Semi open world that opens up with every new ability, going back to previous areas with new abilities to find secrets and areas locked before...

Michał Nowak

Hi! Long-time watcher. Are you guys interested in checking out Mindwave? that new warioware-like indie that just finished its demo release and Kickstarter recently. It seems like it might be something really special in the making. Thanks!

frogger helmet chaos on the ds

whats the best meal youve had that you might never get to taste again.

mi

would you rather go number 2 in a public bathroom or go number 1 behind a tree in a park

Chiefy Boay

Heyo! I hope you guys are having a great day so far! Sorry if this has been asked before but is there anything you guys are specifically looking for during the Switch 2's lifespan? For me I'm a hopeless believer that F-Zero will finally get a new game.

DeLisi

Hello! What is the best burger you ever had

Jump On Everything

Hey all, question for everyone: With Mindwave making the rounds and psychonauts permanently spinning in my head like a rotisserie hotdog I've been thinking about the idea of visual analogs of the mind and how much they can tell you about a character. Do you have a favorite version of this and what do you think a level based on your mind would be like? For me I've always envisioned a masquerade ball as a representation of my journey with my gender identity (BTW, Congrats on your transition Sam!)

gertgamma

howdy yall! i'll give ya both a small question this time, whats the last album yallve listened to?

Internet Toon

Ayyyyyyy guys!!! Hope y’all are doing well. Brady, I remember you mentioning a few podcasts ago that you picked up Outer Wilds! Have you played any more since then? That game is truly something special.

Rero

Hello James and Brady! Specifically asking if Brady is okay because of the canadian gamestop news you do not have to answer if it's too stressful for you rn hope things are going well for y'all otherwise.

Only For Sana

Hey guys hope all is well! Random question since James made a reference to D&D in his Echo Night video: have any of you guys tried Call of Cthulhu by Chaosium? If not, I recommend it especially to James since it's basically a survival horror tabletop game when you think about it lol Have a good one!

Mojo Lecrowe

Hey! Long time fan of the channel and first time asking a question on the podcast before. I’ve only recently started listening to the podcast so apologies if this has been asked before. My question is: What are some examples of product placement in a game that enhance the experience rather than take you out of it? My personal favorites for this are Crazy Taxi and Pikmin 2. For Crazy Taxi, something about it adds to the charm and vibe to the overall experience. For Pikmin 2, it really adds to the world building and even implications for the story that I’ve never seen product placement be able to do before.
