A Buck to the Face - The Gift of Maud Pie

There are things I hate doing. Such as being in large cities. Sometimes these things cross over each other. But I do my best to adapt, even if my best isn't that great.
...Also, the phrase "five-ever" enrages me to my very core on multiple levels.
This episode annoyed me at first. I was having a hard time buying Rarity acting as hyper as she was and Pinkie repeatedly going on about her gift to Maud was a tad grating.
However, Maud and Rarity tag-teaming that guy for Pinkie's cannon at the end had me in stitches. Then as I was editing this video, the episode grew on me.
Some of the points other analysts have made - most commonly the Rule of Three theory's utilization and Rarity getting invested in the challenge of finding Maud a gift as well - helped me realize that this was better than I initially gave it credit for. I suppose I got caught off guard by a different type of characterization and writing style that I wasn't used to seeing with these characters. Gosh darn it, I fell into the same trap that I've made videos about and had arguments about while calling out other analysts for the same thing.
