Watch this space

I'm not going into doom-mode just yet, but I want you all to be aware that among the many horrific things included in Project 2025, the vision board of the Trump campaign, is a scorched earth approach to NSFW material, making the creation and publication of said a crime. Whether this would mean fines and/or jail time is beside the point, the fact is it is a stated view of the Trump campaign and various surrogates throughout the Republican party that the stories I write here should not be allowed to be propagated.

Unless and until actual legislation following through on this belief is put forward and (in all likelihood easily) passed, I will continue carrying on as I always have. For people supporting me on dA or Patreon I'll try to put out three exclusive stories a month, I'll hear out commission ideas and take any that tickle my fancy, and I'll make previously paywalled stories free a couple at a time.

But that can change in an instant. It's not even necessary for federal legislation to be passed, dA and/or Patreon can decide to preemptively purge all adult content and content creators from their sites, either to get ahead of such laws or in the hopes of appeasing the people pushing them. Next month, next week, tomorrow or even today an announcement might go out that my account and others like it have a deadline to deactivate or be deactivated.

With no idea how much warning I will have, I'm using this opportunity to get the word out now. If there are any stories of mine you like, save them now. If you want to find my work elsewhere, I have accounts on FurAffinity and Eka's Portal; look for the name AdiposeRex, no hyphen. It's not impossible those sites will be shut down entirely, in which case I don't know where I'll post.

All of this may be excessively pessimistic, but you prepare for the worst, not the best.
